I'm guessing Wisp's missing lines are text only. Would be awesome if it actually had a number of sound effects as if it had full dialogue. Including unique sounds for rival kills and meeting allies.

Valve needs to harshen up the punishment for abandonment. It's a rarer occasion that I make it all the way through a game with 10 people than it is the game disbands before 20 minutes. Frustrating.

I was at least happy that the two abandons that I saw today were people who dc'd as soon as the creep wave spawned. At least they saved everyone some time.

Looks like I'll be joining you guys sooner rather than later. Set up a trade via Reddit for an invite in exchange for Portal 2, which I had hanging around from the Winter Sale promo (I got it for free.)

Though I may have gotten in earlier by myself had I done the beta profile thing on Windows rather than OS X...

I've been watching a good amount of streams/tournament play lately, and reading the wiki here and there in conjunction, but what's the best resource/guide for starting players?

I played the original Dota back in the day a little, so I sort of get the fundamentals, but I'm still very much green.

Don't play with Neki, he'll just yell at you in positive tones to help you improve.

Nice to see two more heroes. What's the typical ETA for getting them into the main client? I seem to remember it being pretty quick for Rubick.

A reminder that Rosh spawns at -1 min. So if you see an Ursa/SK pick in a mid level game make sure to run over there like champs right away rather than wait at the top of a hill near rosh for that minute while they kill it.

It is amazing how different the games go if Ursa gets Rosh. If you deny it, it can mean a quick 0-6 ursa DC or a lvl 25 ursa at 30 min with 20 kills.

Also I need to stick to the counter pick ursa always plan.

So if the "hero performance bar" is not based on your wins and losses, what the hell is it based on?

I'm sitting at not even a quarter full with Sven, despite a 6-0 win-loss ratio with him so far, so it must be comparing it against something. I don't recall any abysmal KDR scores either. It's sitting LOWER than my 1-4 (!) Skeleton King track record.

I believe it compares your preformance with other players?
