Was just in a game where our mid TA went 1-7 within the first 20 min or so. Likely reason??? Went straight bottle into Blink Dagger... Nothing else. Bottle -> blink dagger....

I disagree (the cap is something like 71% increased physical damage, plus the 60 damage the Deso grants). An early Deso can be devastating in the right hands, it's like a railgun in the clutches of Slardar. Pair a dependable survivability item with it and you have all the damage you need for a long, good while.Makes sense; I'm still trying to find an item build I like. It seems like most people have been recommending various Armlet-based builds.
Stacking additional armor reduction becomes pretty weak before even hitting the -20 cap. The flexibility when Amplify is on cooldown makes sense, though.

hes also very squishy so any burst damage hero can take him ezly
A Blink Dagger is essential to reach Lanaya's maximum potential, as it opens up a world of possibilities. Perhaps most importantly, it allows her to make full use of Psionic Trap's slow for her attacks as she can immediately jump on the enemy after detonating one, also having the luxury of using a Meld-into-immediate attack combo for further damage. Choosing exactly which point to Blink at will also maximise the potential AoE damage of Psi Blades. Blink Dagger also serves as an effective escape mechanism; combined with Refraction's damage block, Meld's invisibility and Psionic Trap's slow, Lanaya becomes incredibly difficult to take down.
