I said earlier that I think Bloodseeker is the worst hero in Dota, but I had forgotten about Tree.

I hadn't even heard of Orchid before right now. I usually go for Phase Boots then Force Staff, but I haven't really looked up any builds so that's just me making random guesses.

on WR i usually go force staff -> orchid -> MKB if the match goes long enough.

Man what a disappointment this LGD showdown ended up being. Can't believe Int threw game 2 like that by picking tree. Wish there was another game for them to try and make a comeback.

I dreamt bristlebog was in and milk went mid bristle game 1.

Thoughts?

Thor wasn't there sadly, I forgot who else was.

I just remember that lanes were a crapshoot and thinking "this fucking milk" when he called mid.

I usually go Orchid --> Force --> Blink --> ____________ (enter match-specific luxury items). Usually gonna be something like a sheep if the carries are in a position to carry. If they need help carrying, MKB + Scepter is never out of the question and always hilarious. Nobody ever sees scepter on Wind coming until they melt. I melted a PA like that last week.

Just lost a game as Lesh because I bought aghanims instead of BKB. Feels so bad. At the end we had their team storming our base and our megacreeps wailing on their ancient, I did a ton of damage, died, bought back, got focused down. With BKB I would have survived and killed them all. Never again. We deserved to lose though, team was horrible. No coordination, Ursa with a 1000 ping and a Silencer who was a huge asshole, kept shittalking our team in all chat. Only reason we got so far was me melting their bottom racks solo.

Patch notes:

Hidden eggs added to the map
Roshan's respawn timer changed from 10 minutes to 3 days
Arcana bunny outfit for Windrunner added. Only $49.99.

Can we, as a collective, tell valve to fuck off with greevils? Fuck greevils.

Let's vote with our games.

Boycott the next greeviling event and maybe Valve will get the message.

(hahahahahaha as if)

I think it's Valve trying to fish around for a mascot for Dota 2. They don't really have a character that could work in a cart racer or play poker, like TF2, and I think they'll want to eventually transition to making Dota more of a brand like TF2 is now.

Put Windrunner or Lina on a stripper pole.

Done.

edit: put both on a stripper pole together? Done.

They have (currently) 98 mascots.

Just produce figurines for all of em, every hero is a fav of someone.

Besides Meepo

I like the Greeviling. Then again, my Greevil had the ability to summon a Greevil Golem.

It was always awkward, though. And some people's greevils were objectively more powerful, creating an uneven playing field when it was time to change into greevils. also...I mean, it was just an awkward game mode. Not to mention the randomly-given luxury items that don't work on your hero, etc. Diretide was much more enjoyable. Fast leveling, complete item purchase control and 20-minute matches are what a lot of people would prefer at times from Dota anyways. a 20-minute "quickie".

Produce meepo figurine.

Meepo fans buy 5 of them.

Profit.

I found Greeviling more enjoyable because, in general, it was much faster than Diretide and people were less invested in the outcome since everyone was rewarded at the end. The issue with Diretide, outside of the boring Rosh fight, was the rage that it induced for no good reason. I remember somebody literally swearing at me and my friend the first match we played because we didn't understand how it worked - and it was the very night the mode was released!

But yeah, the imbalanced Greevils did not help.

I saw the same swearing in Greevling, though. :D

People just don't like to lose man. But yea, the fact that the winning team got better prizes probably caused more flaming than usual in Diretide than Greevling.
