Repost, but thought I would put another feeler out there.

I have 4 players right now for an amateur Dota 2 Tourney at PDXLAN in July. We need a fifth. Three of the players are good, I'm okay role 4/5. It's an amateur tourney, but is sponsored by Valve so we're not looking to play for shits and giggles, we are competitive players. If any GAFers are interested, let me know and we can work something out ticket-wise.

Before you play Meepo, ask yourself: Do I have perfect micro skills? If yes, play Meepo. If no, don't. Unless you want to feed for like 25 games and then eventually get good.

I pretty much play only All Random and everytime I get meepo (which seems like a lot for some reason) I say this in chat, and no one gets the reference... it's kinda sad.

I had a match now (europe west) and it went fine, both gaming and connectivity. My first game as mirana, it is lots of fun! However when the game ended it shows as not finished, and it begs me to reconnect (and then it does not find the game).

And the game after that we have an Omniknight who takes CS from our Juggurnaut and, I kid you not, casts Heal repeatedly to push creeps but uses it like a grand total of twice in teamfights. Never saw him cast anything else either.

I forget the specifics, but I believe the answer is yes it does, but not fully. Same goes for Stout Shield and Vanguard or double Stouts.

Nope, you sell it off when you get to level 10 or earlier - assuming you get krak shell last.

Yeah, the Veno clip is fucking amazing. At first I thought he was blocking himself with the illusion, then I saw the other one run off and the AM go after it. How do you lose the shell game when there aren't any shells!?

Nope, it doesn't go on Cooldown until it goes off. It's like Snipers's Ult or NP's Teleport, they have really long Animations.

Well, much more unfortunate than that was our mid OD going 0-9 and intentionally trolling our team with astral imprisonment while our Anti Mage sat AFK in fountain.

I'm no expert on trilanes, but an Ogre Magi, Dragon Knight, and Vengeful Spirit would be a great trilane, right?

We would have had them in an offensive trilane on the long lane, so Clinkz could solo safe lane. Vengeful Spirit refused to participate in the trilane and went top with Clinkz instead, calling us noobs for wanting to trilane and saying he hated trilanes. I was Shadow Fiend on mid, and Mirana got a DD rune (we had no wards right off the bat) landed an arrow on me and her and Slark got first blood on me immediately. I fucking hate it when shit like that happens. I did okay on the lane after that, but still Slark spiraled out of control, and eventually so did the rest of their team. We couldn't get Dragon Knight that trilane farm without a trilane, so that didn't work out either. Clinkz did okay, but it still wasn't enough.

Trilane only works when the 3 people who are trilaning are coordinatrled enough and the two supports are good about pulling/stacking/dewarding. Playing trilane with randoms in pubs is usually a recipe for disaster.

On the contrary it is quite fun trying to out-last hit 4 other people.

I usually groan when I see 3-4 carries but I played a game the other day where my other 4 teammates all chose melee carries. I ended up picking Lich and going mid against Drow.

Somehow we managed to win through a combination of ganking and suicide diving the enemy repeatedly until we finally decided to group up and charge their mid lane.

I used to worry about team comp all the time but I honestly just stopped caring. At my level it seems playing well usually trumps hero picks.
