I enjoyed this prototype a lot. Looking forward to seeing what it becomes.

haha, yes! I was surprised by how much I liked it.

It's weird/neat to see a monster animate like a stop motion movie prop on purpose, usually janky movement is a minus, here it looks cool (and very deliberate).

Good shit, Muir.

I thought Brazen was an old prototype from a previous Fortnight, not something they were planning to build on.

I've been putting off doing this - not out of any dislike, just because I wanted some clear time in the weekend to look at the pitches properly. Nothing's grabbed me so far but I've not yet got to the pitches some have gone nuts about.

Edit: I worked on The Simpsons Game, and Flopulous feels like what I expected the Homerball segments of that to be like from the original design doc

About a day left on this.

Is it possible to link this to my existing Humble Bundle account? I don't see the option. It doesn't seem to be showing my previous votes, either.

With just a bit longer to go until the end of voting.

Hack n' Slash
Hack n' Slash is an action adventure game focused on exploration and discovery, not just of its charming fantasy world, but also its internal workings. Based on my childhood experiences hacking on games in emulators to discover new things (and break others), Hack 'n' Slash is a world of puzzle dungeons based on progressively more sophisticated cheating, hacking, and reverse engineering techniques. Instead of a sword, you get a laptop, searching for and building software to help you dismantle and rebuild the world around you.

Spacebase DF-9
Build a sprawling flotilla-city in space. Peer into the thoughts of its citizens: see their personalities, prejudices, and relationships play out in unexpected ways. Allow visiting ships to permanently join with your base. Take screenshots and string them together into stories to show your friends.

The White Birch
The White Birch is an ambient platform exploration game in which a young girl climbs a tower to escape a dark and malevolent forest & reach the prize hanging in the branches of a lone white birch tree growing high above. The game will have a similar atmosphere and feel to games like Ico and Journey and will be designed to encourage and reward repeated playthroughs by the use of alternate endings and different prizes hanging from the tree. The tone and story of the experience will be evocative and open to interpretation.

Autonomous
Autonomous is a first person sandbox construction game set in an 80's inspired futuristic junkyard world. You must use found objects to construct automatons, which have a mind of their own that you cannot directly control. You must use these automatons to survive the hazardous world around you. Autonomous will be a stylish science fiction game about player experimentation and the sometimes disastrous, but always fun, scenarios that result.

Just following in places 5 and 6 respectively we have, Black Lake and KAIJU PILEDRIVER.

I'm not fussed about the games in 3rd, 4th or 5th place really, but the top two seem ok. I think it was fairly obvious these would win for a while now, the voting didn't seem to switch up the order much once those pulled away at the start. Will be interesting to give those prototypes a go anyway!

Doesn't look like KAIJU PILEDRIVER is going to make it. I feel pretty bummed out about it.
NO!!!!! TELL ME HOW TO COMMIT VOTER FRAUD, OBAMA!

Seriously, that sucks. Doublefine fans have no taste. White Birch's 'Ico' mention is pandering to the point of insult... though I voted for it too. Hack & Slash seems dumb though.

I loved the fact they mentioned Rival Schools. Also that warehouse scene was funny.
. . and sad, very sad.
I feel like the multiplayer games got the short end of the stick. I think it would be nice if another one was made for multiplayer games.

Here are the games I voted for. The fact that I only voted a few hours ago changed my votes a bit (and made them useless).
The White Birch: Could be interesting, especially from DF.
KAIJU PILEDRIVER: Just because it seems more fun than some of the top 4 games and kinda had a chance.
Milgrim: The idea seems great and multiple gaffer mentioned wanting something like this before. Unfortunately the pitch seemed pretty bad, the visuals/demo made it seem like a simple Mario themed tower defense.
Cloud Prix: I like clouds I guess. Could be a fun unconventional racer.
Shine Run: Sounded like Crazy Taxi.
Zumbi Chained: Interesting concept which will probably lead to hilarious and frustrating coop experience.

There are other stuff that I (and others) would probably buy as a game, but it's not very original that I would vote for it as a pitch.

Out of those 4 I was only interested in Spacebase and Hack&Slash. Autonomous can be interesting I guess, I just don't see the appeal of the White Birch to be honest.

Voted three out of those 4 and only because it was obvious Hack 'n Slash didn't need any votes, so I'm glad for it.

Honestly, those 4 were the ones with the most impactful pitches and none of them need a pdf for extra clarification. I'm sad Kaiju, Bragging & Fighting, Battle Bros or Blake Lake didn't make it but really excited to check how the chosen prototypes develop.

Only voted for White Birch of the four that won, but I doubt this is the last we'll see of the ideas that didn't make it.

White Birch is the most interesting one in the lot for me. Glad it got in.

Hack N'Slash is an incredibly clever name (and concept.)

Cool we're going to get the critique part of the pitches too. Can't wait for similarly dream-crushing remarks like Chris Remo saying to multiple-character adventure game VETERAN Tim Schafer that Reds was too "top-heavy"...!

I love ya Chris, but that comment in the documentary kind of made my blood boil!

ha, someone's Metal Gear ringtone just went off.

If that Metal Gear Solid codec ring tone was coming from their end, I hope that person is happy I sat around for a good ten seconds not getting why my phone wasn't the origin of the sound.
