Dragon Age: Inquisition has gone gold

My first run through will be Mage, to fit with my Mage Warden and Hawke. Mages must be free, but NOT allowed to govern themselves - we are not better than anyone else, just different!

Always same problem for me when i start to play an rpg....

Which class should i choose ?

Then i find myself playing with a warrior or thief...

But the spell effects are very good in DAI....I think i ll go with mage this time

If you aren't rolling a mage in Dragon Age you're doing it wrong.

Wait that makes no sense. What is freedom but self-governance?

So the review embargo's up well before release.

Dat confidence.

Prediction time: 93 in Metacritic.

Oh no they can do that, I just mean they shouldn't be allowed to make a new Tevinter.

So you put a cap on how many of them can govern then, or which roles they can fill. Still second class.

I should stop before I turn this into a debate on what freedom means in a society where we inherently surrender some (or a lot) of it to not have chaos. But I do like that thats one of the big questions this series asks.

Nah there's no cap, I just mean creating a society where everyone ELSE is second class.

You are all free to grovel at my magical boots, worms fellow citizens.

Or be mind controlled with blood magic into voting for me.

Its a messed up world, no easy answer. Freedom is probably an impossibility in it. Actually the way I define the word, I know it is, because its even impossible in real life short of being a hermit. If I was a mage in DAs world, thats what I would do. End up like that dude in Origins that lived in a stump. I wouldn't steal from rhyming trees though, they would be my only friends.

Everyone who isn't part of the ruling class is second class though. Once mages held a majority of the power, bam its Tevinter. Well, without the literal slavery at least. (I can keep going foreeever)

Glad this unlocks 12AM EASTERN time. I'm hoping Bioware releases the skill trees early so we (or maybe better said I) can start planning builds and examining skills.

Mind control is one of the Mages' powers. I don't think in a civil society you can have people who are capable of mind control in any position of power. This is why the circle and templar supervision is absolutely necessary.

Hey guys should I be worried?

Got in on the second chance of getting the Inquisitor Edition off gamestop.com, and was in a hurry and used Paypal as the payment method. My Paypal listed the money deducted, but it never did come off the credit card when I checked my info on it. I look again today (since it's going to be shipped to retailers soon and all) and it's not even on my Paypal account anymore :/ I thought Paypal always charged immediately, no matter what pre-order it is?

My status is still "open" on the website, but I am worried that it's an "uh oh" in the system :/ Anyone else have anything similar happen with Paypal and/or GS online?

EDIT: Looks like they might have screwed up my billing address. Unless that doesn't matter since it's still via Paypal? Should contact CS anyways...

Hollywood, my Qunari Templar Inquisitor, is going to eradicate your kind from the face of Thedas.

I mean, jesus christ.

I was in the same sort of predicament. In the end the EA Access discount tipped me to go with Dragon Age. December shall bring me Unity.

When is the game available for EA Access subscribers? Curious since I have a PS4 and my PC isn't powerful enough to run it.

Do what you will, I will make sure that Mages will allowed to be free and live life the way they want to!

COME AT ME BRO

Ashodin is baiting you, there's a elemental trap on the ground in front of him. He think you to be a dumb brute.

I just realized, Qunari Templar sounds good.

I'm gonna guess an 89.

Though I would be delighted to be wrong and for you to be correct!

I would be shocked if it was higher than 89. I'm expecting 83-85, and this is coming from someone who has already preordered two copies.

There was a good deal on Green Man, I couldn't resist! :(

I'd be surprised at a Meta score in the 90's as well. I'll guess 87, making it the highest rated major PS4/XB1 release of the year.

Is there any footage or info on the skill trees yet? I haven't played a dragon age in a while and can't remember how the skill trees worked

I'm not sure about the early access part of it, but the preorder is up now with a 10% discount (I'm in Canada, so I bought it for $62.99 rather than $69.99). All downloaded and ready to go!

Edit: Just checked, EA Access members get it five days early apparently. But Bioware has been cagey if it's the full game five days early or not.

If we're making metacritic predictions then I'm gonna say 83. The reviewers will like the visuals and gameplay for the most part but are not impressed by the story. I have no basis for any of this.

I'm expecting 2 ploids out of 1. Ploid is a sucker for party based rpgs and he's been hungry for the next one, playing old party games as he wait. He's going to over score that bugger, unless the story hold the gameplay and killing back. If multiplayer is crack though, he may find another ploid point somewhere.

So i'm sorry for the newbie questions but if I preorder this on PS4 digital they are doing pre-downloads like Steam now right? And if so how does that work, is it automatic like updates or do you have to initiate it somehow?
