If you haven't played an Infinity Engine game before, I'd recommend a combat class for your first play through. Fighter, Barbarian, Monk, Paladin, Ranger.

But if you just want to avoid incredibly broken classes, do not choose:

Wizard Slayer
Jester
Avenger
Beastmaster
Stalker

I'm a barbarian. God damn that's some intense character creation.

Bets on it being a shitty 10 second flash of some CGI and then a message saying come back on the 15th for the proper trailer?

So beautiful. Do some guide reading if you feel you need too. Otherwise you'll just be weighed down by this game.

Eh. I finished BG2 when I was 10 years old, he'll be alright. :)

It's complicated, but reading guides on how to 'best' play is somewhat counter-intuitive.

I think you guys are going to like what you see tonight -- it's all in-engine too. No CGI at all.

And you'll be seeing more sooner than you think.

As long as you dont have to manage a party im good. Dunno why, but I just dont like messing with a whole party in an isometric RPG.

Anyway tuning in tonight for the trailer.

Good to hear. Should we expect a blow out of information during your E3 segments? ;)

There have been fairly strong indications that you do. I like controlling a party better than letting the AI making a mess of things.

While I think it'll be a real trailer I'll bet it's one minute and thirty seconds and totally not worth this anticipation.

Well I was talking about the whole game in general. Not how to play the "best way". Knowing what goes behind the scenes certainly helps.

Awesome, that's great to hear.

From what little they've shown so far I think I'm going to need a new computer (my computer sucks).

:lol :lol

I'm guessing it's going to be the last part of the show.

That was fucking terrible. They teased that shit for 5 days? I feel sorry for people who stayed up on purpose.

I haven't watched it yet, but I am shocked they didn't deliver. Shocked.

The fanbase on the Bioware forums are going to be PISSED. They were already pissed about the "Heres the trailer... sike!" fiasco and now they've been shown a video no gameplay.

I kind of hate how basically every fantasy thing has to look like Lord of the Rings now.

Well it is the king. Still if you told me that was a teaser for LotR: Conquest, I totally would believe you

Maybe that's being held back for E3. It certainly was short, but it did at least reinforce the dark fantasy vibe that's been talked about.

Its certainly an odd trailer if that's all we're getting in the next few months given how long the Dragon Age crew has been quiet.
