I don't think anyone with rational thought believes this. And he shouldn't anyway.

Yeah. They're not going to do another test, Gohan doesn't have a way to the world which took time to get to, and Goku being back in brings back all members in the team aside from Piccolo.

I regret to inform you guys that my cousins best friend, brother from namek has informed me that gohan will not be coming back to fight and instead has been replaced as a z fighther by cabba

Didn't the next episode description that leaked with the title suggest that Vegeta might go blue against Magetta? I remember something like "Vegeta goes super super siyan but.."

but he trainin

Yes and for a valid reason. From what we've seen of the tournament so far it'd be pointless for him to come in now even though he wanted to come initially. I'm sure most fans would rather the results of his training used for something more meaningful at this point.

Monaka gonna go crazy and there he'll be, bam. SSJ5.

Great episode, but I found the battle with Magetta a little unsatisfying. Vegeta didn't do anything, he just flew around and didn't even transform until much later (and it wasn't even the God form). Vegeta seems like the guy who would go all out and end it as fast as possible.

When the new bff starts rubbing off on you.

Checked out this episode then though why is it this good.

When I saw the staff list I was like why is Karasawa Kazuya an upcoming director that makes fantastic world trigger episodes working on dragon ball super??? (he only directed the storyboard was by someone else, probably didn't have enough time to do it himself)

Looks like World trigger ends in April So dragon ball super might get a talent injection.

World trigger ending frees up noboru koizumi the one man animation factory which dragon super really needs right now.

World Trigger is finally ending?? Thank christ, that's going to help Toei a lot.

Fantastic episode.

Vegeta has never looked better in Super.

Tons of development in the story.

The Super pacing has been some of the best ever.

Shit gets done. Episodes are meaty. I love it.

Next week should be fun.

Man, what a great episode, now the weekly wait gets even worse. Hoping this upward trend for Super continues. Such a good arc already and we haven't even gone to U6 yet.

Also, totally called it Goku would be back in.

So, Vegeta kind of messed up by
making Magetta turn the ring into an inferno, he's sweating buckets right now. He probably assumed the fire would destroy the barrier.

Also, Vegeta used "Falcon Punch" on Frost, IT WAS SUPER EFFECTIVE!

One more thing, does this arc kind of reminds anyone of Baba's tournament from DB? Not so much strong fighters, but good fighters with wacky unassuming designs using very tough gimmicks?

Botamo shrugs off ki blasts with ease, something most fighters in Z would dodge or take a hit, unless it was a weak blast or something. Frost relied on poison to win his fights, and Hit might be a psychic of some kind. Magetta just brings in the heat, which can suffocate and dehydrate you after prolonged exposure. Only real mystery right now is Cabba. I think Goku and Vegeta learned that they can't rely on brute force and big ki blasts alone to win fights like in the old days.

I really liked the Vegeta and Frost scene where they kept zooming in on their eyes. They've been trying some very stylish stuff lately that wasn't really in DBZ.

Good episode. Everything except the action parts were well animated. It makes me think that the new animators just don't know how to do DBZ action too well, but then I remember some of the previous episodes that had really good action. They need to step up their ki blast animation game for sure though.

Really liked this episode. Glad to see vegeta will finally use a signature attack next week, other than the flurry of generic ki blasts.

Hope he gets the win

Good ep, though I wish there had been more to the Frost beatdown. Magetta seems like an interesting fighter (and there was some nice sparks and smoke animation when he was beating on his head). I like the emphasis on strategy in the tournament so far.

Next week:
FINAL FLASH!

Beerus says when Monaka's "mind is one", he incinerates anyone who gets in his way, friend or foe. He destroyed a planet that way once.

I got the feeling that beerus made this up to get Goku off the case. I imagine Monaka has beaten Beerus in a very stupid way and Beeerus feels embarrassed about it. Would explain why Whis was laughing at him. But then again, why would Beerus bring him if he is not a strong fighter

I think that was the implication, because Whis makes a remark about it right after.

Yeah I don't think Monaka will be strong in the typical way or a complete joke. He's going to have something that can win the tournament

No, he's just unpredictable when his power is unleashed.

It looked to me like Beerus was just bluffing when he explained that to Goku, after realizing that he had to come up with a reason or Goku was going to keep being persistent about it.

Yeah basically this was my takeaway, too. Whether he is disguising a lack of talent or something else altogether will be the big question.

But either way, I love how much plot and characterization this arc is actually getting. And that the fights are using fun gimmicks.

So is Hit actually a hitman? I know Frost mentioned it, but from what I remember, it was more of a question then making a sure statement. Hit only attacked him because he was stealing the cube right?

Beerus just doesn't want him to bug Monaka while he's meditating or something.

did whis really say that Moneka fainted when Goku charged his Kamehameha?

what's the deal with Moneka?

why am I so hyped about a new episode like I was 15 years ago when DBZ first aired?

I'm getting the impression that Monaka is a nobody. He fainted when he saw a Kamehameha and Beerus is making stories up to keep Goku from finding out.

Also, what the fuck did Hit do to Frost?
