A. Going SSJ for no reason to punch bootleg Frieza in the face and end the fight.
B. Getting hot from fighting a heater.
C. Fighting a brand new SSJ kid.

He should have went Blue at the damn start and knocked that thing out of the way. Then he wouldn't spend a whole episode by a furnace and breathing heavy.
TBF, it's not like the original DBZ or DB made sense anyway, so Super doesnt' deserve all of the hate I'm dropping on it. Just some. And I'm sure the fight was actually decent.

They outright said he didn't use Blue against Magetta because he didn't want Hit to see it, he used it on Cabba because I guess it want to show him where he could go was greater than that. Also just going blue to win right away would be pointless since Vegeta wants this tournament to be a sep in becoming stronger than Beerus.
If hit can skip time than why can't he see goku where goku guessed he would be at .1 seconds ago after Hit has time skipped? Goku predicting a move should is just another move that hit should be a able to see and react to. This is some quantum physics shit right here.
There's clearly supposed to be some time between the moments where he can use his ability, otherwise he could just use it again like you say there. The script never mentioned that though. So, yes, it ends up problematic due to lacking that. It also seems like Hit isn't actually "stopping time", but rather "skipping time". He was clearly surprised by the way Goku threw blocks exactly where he'd attack, so I don't think he can actually see during the 0.1 seconds even if he can use that to change his position.

I do agree that Vegeta probably could have done more, not just in terms of stamina but in tactics to try out against him. It's almost out of character that Vegeta's plan was to take a punch so he could grab hit and then do nothing about it except get KO'd.
there's a reddit post that really got me, lol.
someone pointed out that Majin Buu had to be omitted from this tournament, because he'd have swept the entire thing himself.
you can't brickwall majin buu
you can't poison majin buu
you can't expect majin buu not to insult your goofy robot ass
you can't hurt majin buu with your weak little regular saiyan punches
majin buu doesn't have vital points

Looking at it strategically, it's not even a good idea. If Hit knows, that's bad, but using up more power on Magetta is even worse overall. Hit knowing you have a super mode means fuck all if you are too tired to stay in it.
And then they blow that up with muh sayian pride. Which is par for the course with this series, and I'd be fine with that really, but I guess the issue I have is how they trained to stay in that form but then becomes an issue still.
End game besides Goku, but the training they've done helps them last. The Sayian Saga would have ended without Goku getting there on time because everyone is too weak to do anything, the Freiza Saga...same thing, with people dying far before Goku even got there, the Androids would have done a cleaner sweep, Cell would get a Frieza-level Goku to fight and he would have never known to abuse his son to get him to SSJ2, and Buu would have clean up real quick like before, well, Goku saves the day.
So even though it all turns out the same even with training, it's still important. In this case, it doesn't feel like there's an actual leap in what their power. Just learning how to use old moves again.
Had a feeling there would be some 'gimmick' to Hit's ability. Now that they will be on level playing fields, it will be interesting to see if Hit is actually all that strong.

Folks, no need to do mental gymnastics to explain why SSB Vegeta lost hard against Hit but base Goku got a punch in. Vegeta is just not a main event player. He is a solid mid card jobber for the stars. Made hit look good. The sooner Vegeta marks realize this the better.
Somebody translated what Goku said in the next episode preview:
Hey, this is Goku! I tried to look all cool by saying I'd beaten the Time-Skip, but when Hit gets down to business, he's stronger than I imagined! Just what you'd expect from the best in Universe 6! But I'm gonna take him on with my trump card I've been hiding this whole time! Next week on Dragon Ball Super: "A Fully-Developed 'Time-Skip' Counterattack?! Is It Coming?! Goku's New Technique!" Definitely check it out!
Ok, I am curious since I feel like Beerus did not lie about Goku being the second strongest person he faced. I feel like the actual strongest guy against Beerus will show up in episode 40. Would be a fun reveal.

playing with goku and vegeta like that is a terrible bet if thats really what beerus intended, because they are the type to lose the last fight just to see how strong monaka is
Vegeta carried the team, sure Goku got a win on Botomo and Piccolo got lucky with a disqualify but revoked it in favor for Vegeta. So it's back to the normal DB formula, second strongest fighter gets some wins in and leaves the final "boss" for the main character.
Seriously though I don't know what Toriyama plans with the other characters but Piccolo deserves better than this. He had a good moment vs Frost with some surprises but I get a feeling he's not going to do much in the next arc.
I'm really liking Hit's fighting style, though I wonder if he's cheating since they show plenty of shots of him reaching into his pockets as if we're supposed to catch something. Could be another disqualify in the making.

You don't need to spoiler stuff from episodes that have aired.
I feel like Hit putting his hands in his pockets is more just showing how confident he is.
Honestly I think Piccolo is going to go back to being an non combatant like in the Buu arc, he's been left so far behind in power. Hopefully Cabba and Hit stick around and join the cast.

They retconned Super's retcon of Goku being Beerus's second strongest opponent into a bluff meant to get Vegeta and Goku to train harder.
"You're my second strongest opponent [besides Whis]. Lol just kidding, Whis wasn't the opponent I was talking about, although he is stronger than me. Lol, just kidding, you're the second strongest besides Whis"

I really want Monaka to still be really strong despite the bluff and nobody even realizes it, not even Beerus. like the entire time Monaka's just been calmly channeling the residual energy released by previous battles through his amazing nipples
How many episodes are left in this season? I think they could have made Vegeta's beat down a bit more impactful, then have the start of next episode where Goku comes in.

Most places consider this currently to be season 3. BoG = 1, RoF = 2.
I won't be surprised if FUNi ends up putting the BoG and RoF episodes into one season release. Or following the internet's mentality but release seasons 1+2 at the same time.
