I wonder what the manga is going to do with the tournament. Are they just going to skip whole chunks randomly to keep pace with the anime? Or are they just going to end up way way behind.

Also question related to that. So far we've had a rule that
Discussion of manga content that has not happened in the anime as well as descriptions of upcoming episodes found in Japanese magazines must be in spoiler tags.

Well the anime is about to overtake the manga and until we know how the two are going to be related, it's either going to have a lot of spoilers for people who only read the manga (if they don't skip a ton to keep pace with the anime), or that rule is about to become nonsensical. I assume it's not going to be flipped around though and non-manga spoilers are going to have to be...spoilered?

Manga is promotional media for the anime. I doubt that there's anyone who just reads the manga.

NOBODY is "only reading the manga". That's not a thing.

It's a promotional manga not a real full fledge manga.

The only people reading this are Dragon Ball fans and occasional Vjump readers (it's not in the shonen jump).

Maybe I wasn't obvious enough. I'm only reading the manga mostly, hence why I even brought it up. I think I've watched like 2 episodes of DBS. Might have been 3. I don't really have enough time to watch a weekly shonen anime like DBS anymore (nor if I'm even honest, do I want to), especially where a manga takes a fraction of the time to read.

If they don't include everything in the manga I'll just read spoilers or the wiki summary or something.

FUNi thought it was a more worthwhile effort to do every episode of the original DBZ in HD before releasing Buu Kai?

Nah, canned. Like every awkwardly unfinished DBZ release before it.
The Buu saga of Kai was literally made for the Western markets because the original Kai was so successful in them, what makes you think they'll shitcan it when it's still pulling good ratings on toonami despite being around for a few years now?

I think it's more likely they're waiting for Kai on Toonami to end.

Edit hell, airing Buu will also probably give them plenty of time to dub a big chunk of Super and air it when Buu Kai finishes.
I think that might be a pretty decent way to go about it.

I don't understand why people are upset about a guy using lesser transformations to ramp up in power; in a comic about people using lesser transformations to ramp up in power.

I think Frost has a new technique that makes you drowsy, and when he hit Goku with his palm, it transferred to him. Then he was able to just chuck him out, akin to what Goku did to Botamo. Pretty slick.

Fuck this, so disappointed, two fights with one episode already finished, if this was dbz it would have been 30 episode fight with just these first two fights. :( Its over.

Thank god too. Proper pacing like in Super makes it far more enjoyable and is how the Dragonball anime should've been in the first place without the shitty filler. As someone who owns both the complete manga and the Dragon Boxes, the manga's pacing is so far beyond of being superior it isn't even funny.
