It's kind of odd that they tweaked Toriyama's recent redesigns of old characters to make them more Z-like, but then kept Cabba relatively untouched, rather than tweaking his design to make it more like other human-like characters.

One of his pose was literally a Saint Seiya rip off. More like a throw back rather. (the second he's about to transform for the first time)

That new yellow glow they were using was also very close to Saint Seiya. Probably the art director in charge's decision.

I wouldn't say they completely ignored Toriyama's redesigns. Goku and Vegeta are noticably thinner in Super.

The problem is that Vegeta with Toriyama's style looks extremely close to Cabba.

But they look nothing alike in the anime. So yeah it's kind of an issue.

The worst part is the eyebrows. Where they kept it so thin they had to make them twice bigger in super saiyan ...

Closest analog is either Videl or 18 (besides, you know, the boobs). Bulma got too much curve. EDIT: Or Gohan, duh. Gohan in that image is near the spitting image of Cabba, just wearing a different outfit and missing a bang.

Goku, after watching Vegeta fight, will form a hypothesis on how Hit's technique works. In his fight Goku will test his hypothesis, but still lose. Goku will tell the crew how it works hoping Monaka will make use of this information and win, but lo and behold Monaka isn't that powerful and loses. The planets will be swapped, Hit will get the cube to take up more jobs across the Universes, and the dragon balls will be gathered again to re-swap the Earths. Champa, not wanting to lose the delicious food factory that is U7 Earth, will hire Hit to take down the Z fighters one by one.

Great episode. These last few episodes have been a shining light in a river of mediocrity. Still has some really duff animations here and there. Vegeta vs Cabba wasn't the most amazing fight from a choreography perspective but the underlying theme of the fight and Vegeta's interactions with Cabba were really captivating. I'd love to watch some episodes based around them training.

I also hope we get to see Cabba's father and the planet Salad sooner rather than later.

He probably won't.
He'll probably stand up to him a bit better with technique and because he'll be closer to his 100%. We can't forget that Vegeta's fight with Magetta where he was suffocating 95% of the fight and let off two giant ki blasts, he also probably wasted plenty of energy doing that power up that shattered the barrier.

Like he accidentally stepped on Beerus's tail once long ago, causing him to trip and fall on his face in front of people, and Beerus was so embarrassed he just pretended that Monaka is some super strong warrior who managed to knock him down.
