It leans closer to Views than anything imo. Way too long again, but if you generally enjoy drake it's worth a listen.

It's okay-meh for me. I think the highs are actually not as great as Views which has like 3-4 of my favorite Drake songs despite being a trash album.

okay, expectations properly tempered going in. ill say this: i had high hopes for views to help him grow out of that corner i felt he painted himself into, and was left thinking WATTBA/IYRDITL or whatever were better/more interesting projects
 
Finally found the time to download this from the beginning and listen.

Free Smoke is aight. One of the weaker intros from him imo. That Kid N Play line funny.
No Long Talk is dope.
 
Really loved the first half, didn't feel as strongly about the second half. Passionfruit may be my favourite Drake song ever. It really caught me by surprise, even after reading the hype. The way it goes into Jorja Interlude is great too. That whole three song run of Passionfruit-Jorja Interlude-Get It Together, is something special.

On first listen, I like it better than I liked Views. It's long sure, but it doesn't really overstay its welcome on each track. Views definitely grew on me though, and Feel No Ways is up there for sure. Excited to see how More Life feels after a few more listens.
 
HOLY SHIT I NEED THIS DRAKE & KANYE ALBUM NOW! Fuck any beef or disagreements - this has to see the light of day if it will be this good.
 
This is definitely better than Views. It's bloated as fuck of course but, unfortunately, that's to be expected from modern pop albums.

Also, I saw at the bottom that this (like all Drake albums) is Young Money/Cash Money. So are Birdman and Lil' Wayne getting paid off this and other Drake albums??
 
Surprised I'm enjoying this so much. Only half way through, but so far it's pretty good. I really like Get it together, Teenage Fever and Sacrifices a lot.

Yes and no. It's the controversial song but hes not bitin XXXTenderloin. That flow is like white bread at this point, everybody has had it

I wonder if it's called a playlist to manage fulfillment agreements from his fucked-up ass label situation. Otherwise I think it's kind of silly considering it's an album length collection of tracks where he's credited as the main artist
 
Really enjoying this. It's weird, I consider Views to be a garbage album but looking back there were actually quite a few good tracks on it. I think More Life is just built better as an album (or playlist, whatever).

Drake is terrible at sequencing his albums. He'll lump similar tracks all together in the tracklist and it just becomes a slog, even if the tracks are good on their own. Views was especially bad for this. More Life seems to be similar but I'm enjoying the songs more.
 
On my second playthrough now and I like it more now. This album has amazing production.

4422 is so good. Portland is trash though, fuck that annoying ass flute. Was used much better in songs like Mask Off
 
Kind of surprised Sneakin didn't make it on this. It's better than many of the tracks on here, especially Glow, which is pretty bad.
 
Bumping this right now. I like the feel Drake has been going for lately, but I wonder how long he'I'll stay on it.
Good stuff though. I'll keep it on deck for a while.

As much as I like the dancehall tracks, I feel like he needs to move on to something new. If he puts out another album like this next year I'll be pretty disappointed.
 
I don't blame Future but Drake was pretty quick to change up his style to more closely align with stuff like Future and Migos. Might just be the reality of today's hip hop.

Kanye has fallen off too but he but at least there is enough effort put into his stuff to make sure it's still good music.
 
I think this is Drake and his engineers at OVO at their best. They literally put out the best work they could at this current moment. No idea where they go from here, but it's gonna be hard to beat this thing. Easily the best work to come from Drizzy.

Also gotta say everyone and their mother here in Toronto is listening to this album. Took public transit to the gym and everyone had this on their phones lol. I have seen a couple of folks nodding their head in the gym to this album as well.
 
Did this drop on iTunes? I wanna buy a super high quality version.

All the ones I've heard so far sound mad static/fuzzy

So many spring and summer bangers, they gon be playing the whole thing everywhere til August
