I think DR and SE3 on Xbone had rather large updates. I could be wrong though. It's just a console war dig by the looks of it.
I was just going to say the same thing. Obviously open world and 150+ additional cars are going to take more space (around 20 GB more). Only thing these two have in common is the fact that they are racing games.

Almost certainly not. Otherwise what's your stop everyone with a PS+ sub from buying the (probably cheaper) US digital upgrade.
But considering DLC can't even be played cross-region, I sincerely doubt they'll allow this with DriveClub.

Amazing! One of the most hated thing for me last gen were the load times. I am glad devs are thinking about reducing them this time. Getting it 10 sec or less is technical marvel for a game that looks this good. I'll buy it for just that lol
Hope they get a lot of sales so we get a new MS.

Amazon, though they have occasionally failed spectacularly, Halo 4 was 3 days late if I recall, and AC3 was also late. If it's major vital to play day1, I go to Tesco and buy it.
One stage isn't 17 gigs.

Not really surprised. Most of the tracks are the same just different courses, limited numbers of cars, and there's not really story voicework just a music soundtrack.

Yeah but not by a large amount, possibly <20GB unpacked and installed I would bet, still it's an amazing achievement to get this far.
The disk and download will have the same content, compressed the same to 17GB and unpack the same, all versions will have the same, fast loading times.
I also think he was just saying <10 second load times and being 17GB is black magic, not being mixed up that one stage loading in 10s is 17GB.
Not much point compressing it just to save on 2gb of bandwidth imo. I think it will be a lot greater than 20gb installed.

Hmm. I'm reading 'install size' as being space it uses on your drive. Thus, that is unpacked.

Yeah I've just been thinking about that, he explicitly mentions install size and not download size.
I hope the weather patch isn't too long after launch, I've been going crazy with photo mode in inFAMOUS First Light, I took 144 photos in my first story playthrough just photographing everything; done some pretty decent ones too that I might pop into the photo mode thread with at some point.
My Hybrid Seagate is already tense with excitement.

All PS4 disc based games install entirely to the HDD, the disc inside the console is basically a DRM access key and doesn't do anything else after the initial install.
If you buy the Digital version it will take up 17GB of your SDD, if you buy the Physical version it will take up 17GB of your SDD. The only difference is instead of downloading the game you do a install with the physical version, oh and the physical version has an actual resale value.
Those are the only two differences.
After actual gameplay footage at Gamescom, and people uploading gameplay videos of the closed Beta under the name Cupcake, people STILL believe there is going to be some sort of visual downgrade? Why are you doing this.
You do remember what happened to the last two Driveclub threads which people did this, right?
