I'm sure I'll get use to it I supposed ...I just didn't see it as an improvement like the other things I listed...

Kintaro said:So, playing Chrono Trigger on the DSi and the game looks odd when in motion. I'm not sure if I can call it ghosting or not, but everything blurs like a mofo when you move Crono around. Anyone else getting this? Annoying as shit.
Linkzg said:I did notice a ghosting like effect playing games yesterday that I never had on my lite, so yeah. I never tried Chrono Trigger on my DSi, but no ghosting or blurring on the DS Lite.
ok goodStruct09 said:You get them when you connect to the DSiWare store (might have to link to Club Nintendo too, not sure)

For me its the screens, matte finish, and better sound. Never had any issues with any other DS version's dpads.BrandNew said:Those...those are the best parts about the DSi :-/

That's just a poor and confusing design choice rather than a hardware issue, though. If for whatever reason they were to use the same look on Lite, it'd look just as shitty.bryehn said:Yeah, the whole system menu looks terrible.
Thanks, the always-on light had been confusing me too.zigg said:That's because you don't understand it quite rightand you're not alone; lots of people are making this mistake. Just because the light is on doesn't mean the wireless is actually on; it just means it's enabled. It's only on if it's flashing.
It's basically for situations when you absolutely must make sure the wireless stays off, like on a plane/near a pacemaker/whatever. If it's on, it's operating just like the DS used to. If you go turn it off, you'll notice that no downlevel (DS) games can actually make any wireless connections.

the sticker says free games from nintendo dsi shop I just remember seeing a actual card that said free 1000 pointsDeku said:There's a giant sticker on the box in english and french announcing the points bonus.
How did you miss that.
Teknoman said:No blurring for me. Nothing like that on Contra IV, Megaman ZX Advent, or Kirby either. Guess it's either a hardware issue or you need to mess with the brightness (only things I could think of).
alanias said:Haven't gotten mine in the mail yet, but Hori never did me wrong with the Lite. I will update once I receive them from play-asia later in the week.

Yep.Linkzg said:I did notice a ghosting like effect playing games yesterday that I never had on my lite, so yeah. I never tried Chrono Trigger on my DSi, but no ghosting or blurring on the DS Lite.
Well, I can only say that I have seen three DSi systems in action now. My own and two systems from my brothers friends (two black systems, one white system). And we noticed the ghosting on all screens.Teknoman said:Must be only on certain DSi's then either different screen types for shipments or some kind of defect.
Can't say for certain until it happens, but my best non-educated guess says it should be.Downhome said:Is the system menu something that they can updated through firmware updates, if they so decide?

Its no PSP 1000 & 2000 level of ghosting.Kintaro said:I'll test other games when I get home. I could have sworn Bleach looked fine. I'll check my other games. If I see the ghosting, I'm getting my system back.

Not sure what Nintendo was thinking here.
OMG. DS Phat still the best?loosus said:Larger screens are very much not worth it. The resolution is horrendous.

They're a bit bigger, text is easier to read and sprites are bigger so details are easier to see. I think it's more important that the bottom and top screen both look the same and the overall quality of the screens is better. Especially the colors, DS Lite looks 'washed out' compared to DSi.JasonMCG said:Just got mine today, but I can't open it 'til the 23rd. My GF got it for me for my birthday.
Riddle me this, are the screens noticeably bigger?

Kintaro said:Oddly enough, I don't notice ghosting too much on my PSP 2000. With CT and the DSi I noticed it immediately. The screen turns a shade darker when whenever you move as opposed to when you're standing still. Brightness lvl 4.
