I'm a fucking Mudkip.
I'm returning this.
But Mudkip is the best of the three?

Biggest launch backfire ever? Why do I have the feeling we have a class action incoming. My lawyer sense is tingling!Ninja Kn1ght said:That does appear to be rather blurry, I can't read shit!

Seriously, this thing is total junk. Check out this picture I took with the camera, you can't even make out what it is, the whole thing looks covered in vasoline.AstroLad said:Biggest launch backfire ever? Why do I have the feeling we have a class action incoming. My lawyer sense is tingling!

Mine looks amazing, by the way.
It is much more noticeable in NSMB. Just run across a level with lush colors, like 1-1. If you are looking to the ?-blocks, its like they merge with the hills in the background for a short moment (difficult to describe).Teknoman said:No one really. The screens look amazing, no stretching, clear and vibrant. The whole Chrono Trigger thing was a very faint blur effect when moving around (not ghosting). That picture wasn't supposed representative of it or any sort of screen issue.

It about time I got a DS but I really don't think I need the DSi. Has the original gone through a price drop already or is there talk of them lowering it?

ThePeacemaker02 said:So there isn't really much of a screen problem? I was going to hold off on buying one if there was.
Valtor said:I bought the thing yesterday and I'm kind of regretting the purchase... Up in Canada it's 200$ plus tax making it a 225$ price... If I get to sell my DS Lite at 125 (which is still a dream....) It would be a 100$ premium...for what?
- Cameras (that I won't use much)
- Music player (same)
- Internet browser (...maybe, but I don't think so....)
- DSiWare (that's the big thing)
- Larger screens (bleh not that big of a deal)
Even with DSiWare though, I'm not impressed... Wario Ware is REALLY short, and Aquia is not amazing from my point of view (and I LOVE puzzle games).
Don't get me wrong, I want to have it when DQ9 comes out with DSi enhanced performancesI will get it eventually, but I just don't think it's worth it right now...
Should I bother returning it? Wait till a price drop? Do you think there will be a price drop on the thing? (Ok, I guess I know the answer is no :\ )

Son of Godzilla said:Honestly DSiWare is a bust. It won't be worth a damn for months, if ever judging by the Japanese version.
The music player and photo thing are great fun though.
You've seriously never played Pyoro before? Regardless, Paper Airplane über alles though I know it won't be to everyone's liking.TheGrayGhost said:Bird and Beans is so much better than I expected, and I was expecting quite a lot. Among the best games I've ever played. If these are the kinds of games DSiWare will be getting, who needs a console between the glorious DS library and the glorious DSiWare? That is a lot of fun right there.
yeah, all 2d. well I guess pokemon platinum is kind of 3d..Linkzg said:Were those other games you've played 2D? I don't notice it in Kirby SSU or Henry Hatsworth, but it was apparent in NSMB and Mario Kart. It's very minor stuff and not nearly as bad as the PSP-1000 or 2000.
Teknoman said:Just keep it and find someone or somewhere to sell the DSlite. Its still a better put together system (and imo you should've saved those points)

I don't have that issue with mine either. I think something is wrong with yours.Kintaro said:I'll try messing with the brightness, but it's only at 4. Bleach: Dark Souls played fine, but CT looks smeared when in motion. =/

I find that I never really get the most out of my portable devices until I start treating them like shit, like they deserve to be treated. Taking that stupid-ass skin off my iPod was a revelation.Chiggs said:Finally got these lame ass screen protectors on without any dust problems. God, I hate screen protectors!

UncleScr00ge said:Someone posted a few pages back about backlight leakage. I just played for the first time in the dark and I can see the backlight in the top-left corner of the touchscreen if I hold the DSi at a certain angle. It's barely noticable but I wanted the guy who posted to know he wasn't alone.
mileS said:As far as we know the DS lite is going to stay at the price its at now. If you have the money to spare I would get the DSi. It's going to be worth it in the long run.
I'm assuming by original you mean DS lite.
Very unlikely, although I wouldn't mind it being a DSi-enhanced game. There's no chance it will be DSi-only, though (for obvious reasons).Guled said:is DQ9 really a DSi+ game?
On paper, the DSi boasts a significant processing speed boost over its predecessor, jumping from 67 MHz in the DS Lite to 133 MHz in the DSi, but during our evaluations actual speed variations between the two were negligible.
Like we experienced with the DSi's CPU speed enhancements, the benefits of the expanded RAM are hardly noticeable despite being four times that of the DS Lite.
