I added some new coming soon games. American Popstar sounds like a mix between Rock Band and The Sims.

Real Soccer 2009
This is a social simulation game in which players follow the storyline of a young girl who aspires to become a pop star. Players can engage in a mixture of musical challenges (e.g., dance battles and playing guitar), social objectives (e.g., developing a friendship or scaring a rival), and even maintenance of health and hygiene. During the course of the game, players will need to guide their characters into bathrooms in order to relieve themselves, which is depicted by a toilet paper icon and an opaque star covering the character.

Errrr....best soccer game ever? :lol

Might want to fix that :)

Posting from the browser. Its a shame that the std. settings arent optimal for gaf browsing, but the limitations is the software trying to formar the page.
You can fix this by doing the following.
1. in settings turn off 'combined frsmes'
2. turn on text wrapping [this will make itsuper nice to read gaf]
3. limit posts per page to 50 under your user cp.

most pages load fast after these adjustments .

Yay on browser

Real Soccer 2009
This is a soccer simulation game in which players can select soccer teams (e.g., national, club, and "legendary' teams"), customize stadium venues, create and run plays, and compete in exhibition matches and championship cups. One mode of play allows players to be the coach, while a training mode assists players in improving their skills through penalty
kicks.

FIXED

Aquia's my favorite of the launch bunch. YAY
Bird & Beans is nothing new, but also fairly priced and fun. YAY
Brain Age is also pretty fun. YAY

I feel like I've failed as a(n amateur) journalist though every time someone else buys WarioWare: Snapped! NAY×1000

In order of my most favorite ones...

Art Style Aquia: YAY
Its a Art Style game. Nuff said. Really hard. Seems harder than the WiiWare versions.

Bird & Beans: YAY
Really fun. Have not beaten the 1st game yet. (Only 3000 points about) but really fun.

Brain Age Math: YAY
Cool new features. Already had BA1 but since I can keep this on my system without switching cards I'll deffinitly use it alot more.

WarioWare Snapped: Yay..
Like most everyone else has said the camera does'nt pick up to well. But most of the time it worked for me since I only have a light blue wall behind me :lol Only completed 10 minigames. Short but fun.

DSi Browser: yay....

Deffinitly going to use my iPod Touch browser more nthan this but still good for when I don't have my iPod (Which will be alot more now) The Mobile versions of youtube and myspace works great. If anything I can quickly check if any new videos are up from youtube users I like.

Master of Illusion Funny Faces: YAY..

Yea I'm not going to use this much. But I was really impressed by the tricks it taught you and how it works. really impressive.

Great launch games imo. Alot of good games and a couple of good apps.

Browser: YEA (for what it is)
Art Style: Aquia: YEA (best launch title in the US, probably)
Birds & Beans: YEA

I love the Warioware series, but I passed on it given all the negative impressions I've heard :(

Let me start off by saying that I own every WarioWare title ever. It is my favorite game series that Nintendo has created in recent years.

WarioWare: Snapped SUCKS ASS! I cannot get it to work at all. I have a bad feeling that all camera based games on the DSi are going to have a hard time working on white people living in houses with light colored walls. The games themselves look like they'd be fun, but since I can't play them I wouldn't know. I wish there was some way to get a refund. STAY AWAY FROM THIS GAME!

On a side note, what's with DSi games immediately assuming that the user is a female? So far in Rhythm Heaven and WarioWare there are games that put you in stories where you are proclaiming your love for a guy. They should at least have had a gender option in the menu...

I'm going to have to agree with this, word for word. I caved and got WarioWare Snapped because I love WarioWare games and it sounded fun, but I haven't been able to play it AT ALL. I simply cannot find a suitable environment for it to recognize me. I feel genuinely ripped off for having spent my (free) 500 points on NOTHING AT ALL.

Big NAY from me on WarioWare.

sorry to bump now there are about 4 different dsiware/wiiware threads but i missed out before

art style aquia: YAY!!!!!
art style decode: YAYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!

both awesome, the kind of games i got a ds for in the first place.

decode is particularly fun, although it does seem to be possible to get stuck if you leave yourself with only 1's on the right hand screen.. and no left hand option >:(

all you white people trying to play warioware need to get some black walls :lol

At least you didn't get it to recognize your face, only to find out it was barely a game at all.

Actually I finally got it to work by playing outside. The minigames were mildly amusing and same with the movies at the end, but 15 minigames (20 if you have a second player,) no scores, and inability to save the movies makes this still get a NAY from me. Totally not worth $5.

In regards to Birds and Beans, is that the Pyoro you find in the first Wario Ware? If that's the case, I'm probably not too interested.

Brain Age Express Math is pretty great, still. the themes continue to impress my family/friends, and i just unlocked "battle mode" for the Sum game and its awesome! Its
like Kung Fu with numbers! defeat enemies by writing the sum of the numbers that form their bodies!

Yep, exactly that. I love having it around though.

Haha, yeah, I just got that today too. "Battle mode? What?" Totally unexpected.

DSi Browser - YAY
As someone who bought the DSLite Browser, the DSi version is a nice upgrade, it loads faster and runs smoother, all around a better product.

Brain Age Express: Math - YAY
I hadn't tried the Brain Age games before, but for 800 points, this gives a nice set of 8 math exercises you can do each day, and it's built into the system so no need to juggle carts for those of us who are too lazy to swap our productivity software in daily.

Art Style: Aquia - Yay (This is the type of game that is perfect for DSiWare, although I do hope that they make GBA/GBC games available for download... I haven't followed the other DSi threads, so maybe this is already confirmed/denied).

Aquia - Yea.

Great game once you start to figure out the strategies involved. It's great pick up and play for short bursts too, much like lumines.

Mixed Messages - Yea. When I first saw the 5 min video preview of this game, I was completely turned off and had no desire to play it. However, a friend of mine said he played it and it was great, so I bought it with the free points that come with the DSi. I'm really glad I did. I brought my DSi to work today and a group of 5 of us played this game for over an hour, having a blast with it. It's a fun party game for a group of 5+, and it has little touches that show production value.

The premise is like the game telephone where you whisper something in a person's ear, then they whisper it to the next person... so on down the chain until the person at the end of the chain says what they hear, which has now morphed completely from the original message. The way this game works is a person writes a sentence. The next person draws what's in the sentence. The next person writes a sentence describing what they see in the drawing. Then the next person draws what's in the new sentence. So on down the chain until the end when the sentence or drawing has changed completely from the original sentence.

The cool little touches I like about the game are it records the pictures and sentences from finished games in an archive which you can go back and laugh at later. Also, when you draw or write a sentence, you have to fill in your name. Once your name is entered, it remembers it in a directory, so you don't have to spell out your name every time (just select it from the directory of names). Minor touches, but they add so much to the enjoyment and replay value of the game. This is a quality $5 game that I can't recommend enough.

Warning: this is a party game. You need at least 4 players to really have fun with this game. If it's only 2 or 3 players, it won't be as fun as if you have 10. So don't buy it if you're looking for a single player experience.

Anyone try the Dr. Mario that went up today? Is it any good?

Played it for an hour. I think it is very good, but I guess an older GBA version of the game had more stuff. I have never really played the series, so to me it is awesome, well worth the points. Clean aesthetic, nice music, straightforward presentation. No two-player or online play, though, and only a very basic single player mode.

AFAIK, you pass around the DSi, so you'll only be needing one.

This is correct. Only one DSi required, and you pass it around. The game is best played with 5+ people.

The game is best played with a 50p Paper notepad and some crayons, but each to their own :D

Paper Plane. Um. It's very 200 points. It's bare bones, and I've only played it a few times. Due to the price and nostalgia though Yay

Free Browser. 100% Yay. Visit mobile versions of the sites and choose settings wisely and it;s great. Needs to have a memory for settings for different sites though. There are a few MMO browser games you can play in it too (bloodwars for one)!

Wario Snapped. Unfortunately Nay. It's a great little toy and it's fun once for each of the modes, but after that it's used to show people how the camera can work (in good light) as a gaming device. For 200 points it'd be a yay and a steal. For 500 (or £5) it's just not that good.

Using the Free points made these purchases much less painful, but I've Y/N based on expending real money on them.

Personal Trainer: Cooking would be perfect for DSiWare. I hope they consider re-releasing titles like this on the service.

That's a pretty good idea considering they're releasing all these Express editions. I'd be interested.

a 1st party ds title that is not brain age, master of illusion, or clubhouse games is getting a dsiware conversion right now.

So...I tried to go to neogaf on the browser and it was a complete failure. Did I do it wrong, or does it just suck that bad? My damn phone(also an opera browser) can do this without a problem :^/

NeoGAF works fine as long as it isn't a thread full of large pictures. Use the column text wrapping option.

Code is incredible. It's all I have been playing on my DSi since I bought it.

Which is strange. I hated it when I first played it. But one day everything clicked and I haven't looked back.

Part of the charm of the Code is that because it has had so little coverage and the manual is so basic, you feel a real sense of ownership of any of the little strategies or tactics you develop.

I've done the Challenge mode but the Puzzle mode is beyond me for some reason.

Endless is where the real meat is. My highest score is 37,340 (I await that number to be shot out the water). But it's fantastically addictive because no matter how the game pans out there's always the sensation that next time you can do better.

yeah code is awesome

at first i was like :| but then it gets really good : )

its quite hard, i havent even unlocked all the stages yet
