Dual Sense side by side comparison with DS4

I wish it as a slight bit bigger, like the Dual Analog. The shape looks like it takes the right cues from the Xbox controller. I like it.

DS3 being bad is a meme. Also, there's apparently lots of fakes. You probably got one.

DS3 has perfect weight balance and is very light. You don't need to grip it entirely like 360 or DS4. You can just balance it on your fingers. Thumbsticks are best ever. They are more precise than 360 or DS4 because they have bigger radius and are taller. Very little resistance too. D-Pad and buttons are obviously perfect. I've been using it on PC for ages. The only problem is triggers are unsuitable as a replacement for Xbox triggers and require switching them to R1 and L1.

DS4 looks like a monster in comparison. It's long. Neither triggers or bumpers are satisfactory (a lot worse than Xbone). Start and Select buttons are inaccessible. Touch pad is stupid. Triggers are too resistant, like PS2. Also, my little fingers gets numb after a while for some reason.

I have several real DS3s (and one Sixaxis, yuck), no fakes, so don't worry about that. Didn't have any trouble using them, but the shape, comfort, sticks, triggers and D-pad are all far better on the DS4.

I wish they made an alternative version with the left stick where the d-pad is.
Is there any other weird group that asks a device to be asymmetrical?

Maybe im part of the Ambidexterity Master Race. Maybe right handed people have disability issues? Short thumbs matter too?

I can use it just fine. I've been playing Playstation games since 1994.

It's just that my left thumb falls naturally where the d-pad is. So other controllers (Xbox, Switch, Gamecube) just feel more comfy.

I really don't care about controllers as long as they are usable and comfortable.

Games and etc are what I'm interested in.

VR news!

Keighley already had his livestream? Did anything interesting come out of it? I don't see anyone talking about it.

xbox's controller just makes more since when it comes to analog placement. Left is usually movement being pushed forward. Wish paddles were the standard this next gen, could allow for way more different inputs similar to keyboards.

I'm still confused by everyone saying and complaining that DS5 looks more like the Xbone controller than the DS4... Shit looks so similar to DS4
i never thought it until you brought it up... but it does look more like an xbox controller, because of the side edges... they changed it to be like the xbox

I really don't get that speaker in the controller thing. It was nice in the Wii with the Nintendo games, but always hadn't good quality sound. After all the hype about sound, why the speaker? More and more players play with headphones to get the best sound possible. The internal speaker just makes no sense.

That it is heavier is a good thing. PS4 controller (and all before them) were just to light for my taste. It was missing something. Just liked a wired xb360/xb one controller. It doesn't feel right.

What I'm really missing is the color for the buttons. My xbox x controller in black also has that "problem". It is just easier for the brain to find the correct button not just by the symbol but also by the color. Why do the leave them colorless?

I'm in the camp who thinks xbox controllers have superior placement. Also, i prefer the.. grips on the PS4 controller, kind of circular in cross section (like big fat--) to this new one.. but obviously the dualsense is really intriguing for its plurality of new features.

Interesting how much bigger it is. Not that I mind but I felt like the PS4's controller was the perfect size for at least my hand

Giant ugly console and giant ugly controller! I love that Sony can do almost anything and people will love it because they make some great games.

Can't fucking wait to get my hands on Dualsense. My only complain so far is the lack of back button. Was a totally waste of opportunity.

things look bigger hopefully it still comfortable for people with smaller hand..and hope there is black colour version..white easier to get dirty

man, its already ugly, but now its also so much bigger. the option and share buttons were already an inconvenience to reach, now they seem even worse, even if they look to be bigger.

edit: and the touch pad too, why do they make it so big? its an almost useless feature, look at the amount of space it gets in the face of the pad. If they had made it smaller, they could bring the share and option buttons down and made them bigger.

So wait the PS4 controller is already bigger than the Xbox controller and now the PS5 controller is bigger than the PS4 controller but i thought Japanese people do not like big controller.

Since the ps4, sony doesnt give a rat's ass about the japanese console market. It was the first time japan got the console last, instead of first.

Did they say anything about battery life? Think that's the biggest improvement they could make over ds4

I hope the face buttons are still flat. It's hard to figure out if it's still the thing since they're transparent.

If you look at command prompts in recent games, you'll probably notice that they did away with colour coding and it's probably because of people with colour blindness, which is 8% of all males (and 0,5% of females) so a huge group of gamers. Shapes are more universal than colours in terms of perception.
