EA customer support is the BOMB!

Wow, just wow. These guys are absolutely amazing. I have honestly never had more success with any other customer support ever in my life and today they proved it again that they are more than willing to go above and beyond the call of duty.

So my latest experience with them was this: I got an urge to play Command & Conquer 3 but I remembered that my CD has been broken for ages (even though it looks completely pristine) but I gave it a try anyway, after 2 hours of no progress on install I just gave up and went to origin to buy a new key for 5€. But I told myself, "hmm, maybe I can ask the live support to help me out, they might say to get a new key since my old one isn't in the new system but whatever." So I tried and this very nice lady picked up and tried her best to help me. First she told me that the key is invalid (too old for Origin) and that I will have to send here a photo of the game CD + a note with my name and today's date. I did just that and what happened then was just amazing. She said "I got the photo, give me a moment." so I waited a bit and then she said "I unlocked the entire Command & Conquer series on your account." at that point I became ecstatic and shouted "Wha-WHAT?" and sure enough it is there, all the games on my origin account. Even though I have the 1st Decade from retail but she couldn't have known that so instead of giving me just 3 she gave me EVERYTHING. Man, oh man. EA support are the kings. So I saved myself 5€ and got Kane's Revenge and 4 as a bonus + all the games I have on Steam and the 1st Decade now all comfortably in one place on Origin. Absolutely amazing. Gotta love EA support, they just keep on delivering.

Have you guys ever had any such amazing experiences with their support?

Yeah I had problems with NFS:Shift and they just took my word for it and unlocked the game for me. Was pretty pleased.

My Origin library grew quite a bit since then.

I lost all the games on my Origin account that I got through the Origin Humble Bundle and they've refused to re-add them 3 times despite me having the purchase info for the Humble Origin Bundle on hand.

They just up and disappeared from my account one day, and I wasn't able to reinstall them, neither were they in my Origin game history.

Their customer support is actually trash. You just got lucky.

...the bomb?

I find it hard to believe people ever said that. I find it harder to believe people still do.

Lucifer's secret account confirmed.

Perfect. Wanted to get my Mass Effect games / DLC from steam to Origin, had issues with that (specifically ME2 DLC being moved over). They helped immediatly and dropped some more DLC i had not owned yet on my account.

Had some other issue, can't even remember what it was anymore. Long ago. EA support helped and i logged into BF4, there were like 20 or so battlepacks waiting.

Damn, that's a shame, man. I had to use EA support a couple of times and they always gave me more than I petitioned for. Like way back in the days when there was the Battlefield veteran system I accidentally added my games to the wrong account and the support just gave me maximum veteran rank on my main account, so instead of having veteran rank of like 4 I had like 12 or something, which helped me get into the Bad Company 2 beta (I think). So far I just had huge success with them.

Great ones, mate. They are really great people who work at support in EA.

Sounds like the other way around. Most people have had very good experiences with EA cust support. I know I have on multiple occasions too.

When will Steam?

I keep hearing good things about them. Probably worth mentioning more often especially in light of what a shitshow Valve's apparently is.

They're actually TOO good. Some people I know tried to trick them for free games and succeeded easily. The support didn't seem to really care about handing out free games for every little gripe...maybe they changed because it was some years ago.

Wow, that is pretty horrible, exploiting them in such a way :(

They definitely come a long way since...

Lol, such a classic. I wonder how legitimate this one is but damn if it isn't funny as hell :D

This sounds like Humble Bundle revoked your keys and told EA to disable the games.

EA customer support is top notch. Once my Origin account got hacked, the guy changed my e-mail, password, username, everything. I contacted the support and everything got resolved in 10min. Fast and effective.

Always had great experiences with EA Support. I remember when Titanfall Beta came out and you could just ask support for a key. I said I'd been at work all week and would love to have a key for the weekend and they were really happy to give me access.

EA's customer support is superb!

I've also had great experiences with them, they've helped me out whenever I've had any problems with my games or account.

Origin has great customer support it's one of it's biggest advantages. They're fairly quick and reliable too. This is ignoring that the biggest competition's is absolute bottom tier trash customer support, as it actually stands on it's own.

I think it's funny some of the most hated companies (EA, MS) have some of the best customer support but the loved ones (Valve) has terrible/non existent.

Never had a problem with EA support, the few times I went on they were quick to help and had no issues.

EA's costumer support is the only support where I didn't need to jump through hoops and speak with at least 5 different people to get an answer on my question. The people I spoke to are all understanding and make time for you.

I'm really happy with EA's customer support. As it shows how good customer support can be done.

I've used EA's support twice(once on the phone, once online) and both times they fixed my problem without issue.

I have never even gotten a response from Valve CS. Ever.

Funnily enough EA is actually very well regarded for it's treatment of employee's in general even during the worst company in America saga. It's likely why the customer service is so good, because they don't seem to be treated particularily badly and aren't horrendeous understaffed normally.

Add me to people satisfied with EA Customer Support.

But the one in UK, the Polish one was rather bad when I tried to get my older games on Origin (the games had to be added by support). Polish one didn't care, the UK one added the games within hours and even got me new keys (for C&C games), where mine could not be added to their system.

I remember that time EA customer support reset all my security questions and gave my account away to a hacker.. took weeks just to get it back. they're the best.

Yeah, I filled in there online contact form, and an actual real life human rang me within a minute. I was genuinely amazed.

I had some weird activity on my origin account and called up to get it reported, things were handled really well with the customer support rep calling back and making sure everything was cool. Go EA customer support.

My origin account got hacked and they immidiately gave it back to me. Good thing.

+ I havent played in 8 months on my account so the hacker just took over mine and bought plenty of new games on it. Thanks for the free games I guess friendly hacker

Yeah. EA is well known for good customer support. Unlike some other company, that can't even be reached by phone. :p

Yeah, they're awesome. A few years back I got a small crack on my NHL whatever-year-it-was disc, a week after I bought it. My PS3 wouldn't even boot the game so I went back to the store and explained the situation for them. I was refused help by the store and they told me that there's no warranty for such issues, so I went to EA's website which listed it as a valid warranty issue. Went back again to the store where a new employee helped me out and told me that EA was the only publisher offering this service, and that the guy working when I first was there probably didn't know about it.

Great service from EA. It's not like I can use the disc if it's broken anyway. Maybe things have changed, for better or worse.

Yeah EA has the best customer support among all the digital distributors, both from what I heard and personal experience.

I once tried that "Origin India" thing and it fucked up my account (couldn't buy anything anymore because of some error). Contacted the support at 11 PM and the dude was super friendly and chill and didn't give a fuck about me trying to cheat the system (not that I told him, he figured it out). He even told me that I shouldn't buy Dragon Age Inquisition if I liked the first one. Man, if only I had listened to that man.

The only time I have ever gotten a response from Valve CS was when it was regarding a brand that I worked at. When they saw my email address they replied to me pretty fast.

Two months later lol.

ive dealt with Nintendo, sony, Microsoft, EA and valves customer service.

all were excellent except for sony and valve. sony was slow, painful and failed to come through(hardware issue). valve sort of came through, got my account back but didn't get refunded the lost funds even though they said they would credit my account.

Damn, my experience was different to say the least. A long time ago they had a promo that if you had bought X game, you got a free copy of mass effect 2. I had the game on console at the time. I never thought to use the code so I gave it to a friend who never activated it. Some years later, support couldn't or wouldn't help me activate that code. I forget why, but I felt it was the wrong result.

I think the code was from before they called themselves origin, or maybe shortly after. I forget.
