Ask Harmonix and MTV Games. Got nothing to do with EA....ccbfan said:Where is my Rockband DLC.

Good for EA. Their Wii line up seems to hit each and every corner to please different demographics. I hope there are more secrets for E3.

The graphics don't make the generation. Sure the Wii isn't the most powerful thing in the world, but does that instantly prevent good games from being made on it? The Wii is more like a state of mind that needs changing. People are expecting shit and most devs are delivering.AniHawk said:Because it's moving the entire industry back (or keeping it back) one generation and most western developers worth a damn just don't want to work on the thing.
Yeah...you're in the wrong thread.Confidence Man said:Good news.
More revenue to put into next-gen games.

EA CEO John Ricitiello has spoken out about the cost of development for Wii titles, saying that for EA the cost is 'a third to a fourth' the size of next-gen development.
Speaking in the earnings call following the company's Q3 financials, which saw its losses increase to $641m from $33m in the same period last year, Ricitiello said: "Development is typically a third to a fourth as much for a Wii game then it is for a PS3 or an Xbox 360 game."

Those will be some fun weekends on GAF. Wiiware kept the Wii going through 2008. Now for the retail.

Was partly playing devil's advocate for a little, but I honestly do believe that comparing the Wii to SoA is an insult to SoA and that if games-by-committee is how we're winding up with the switch to the Wii, then the games are gonna suck. Michel Ancel got to make his game for the system(s) he wanted to make it for and it'll probably rock.
I fully expect them to. With the cost to produce a best-selling game rising and everyone's income dropping with the recession, Wii is the logical choice to turn to at least while the industry rides out the rough times. I wouldn't even be surprised to see PS2 get a short, sudden burst this year.Evilink said:More companies need to follow suit...too bad they waited so freak'n long to make up their minds about it...

I can't imagine other genres being better with waggle...

Teknoman said:RE4 was more fun with motion controls and aiming. Really third person/first person action, racing games, point and click/ survival horror (falls in with third person?) and party games would work best. With well done controls anyway.
And motion plus stuff will help. Hopefully.
