Seemed like all the Xbox One unveilings had a similar graphic quality to them, sort of an early CG look - hard to explain, the closest I can come up with is like PS2/PSP CG. That sounds like a dig - but it's really not, just trying to find an analogue to that similar texture
Given that, I feel like they were all in engine, logic dictating if you were going to go CG, you'd make it more impressive than the graphics that were shown. If they were real time, really impressive stuff.
Anyone remember?

Whether it was pre-rendered or real-time, you won't be seeing the game from those camera angles unless it's a replay.
Most of the time, the camera will be panned way out so you can see the playing field. At that distance, it'll be impossible to notice the fine grain details.
Anyone remember?

#teamcg
but it still didn't look that great, i think they just didn't want to get slammed again like last gen with the madden target
That looks more impressive though
At the Xbox Conference today
"What we are about to show you is your first look at actual in game footage of our new sports line up for Xbox One" - EA guy
*Shows trailer that has ps2 era CGI*
I mean come the fuck on. That's not in game footage. Why did they even bother to come on stage just to piss us off?
I'm really starting to dislike the way these big game companies are trying to hoodwink consumers. Thank God for sites and forums like Gaf that act as watchdogs.
Maybe xbox one games look like ps2 era cg. It's not like what they showed was impressive
EA did the exact same thing 8 years ago. Why would it bother you now?
