EA to announce new games tomorrow

Followed the usual pattern of:

a) company announces a conference/showing
b) gaf speculates itself into irrational expectations building into a fervor
c) company doesn't announce much of note
d) thousands of rageposts commence

That last guy just exemplified everything I hate about businessmen - simultaneously putting down his colleague while sucking up to his bosses.

Seriously - trying to start a round of applause for some guy who is senior to you, in the same company, who you already knew damned well was in the crowd, just for showing up to your own conference. Wooo.. big props to you!

So glad I am out of the game...

EDIT: And more on-topic, I look forward to seeing more of Kingdoms Of Amalur and Alice 2.

Hey it is "NEW" lol. I want a Madden with just voice control play calling. Why cant they make that happen. I wont buy a Madden again until this is confirmed to happen

I don't see why that is such a high requirement for you. :lol So much can go wrong with voice commands in games or really any piece of technology. It would bring a lot more problems than innovation.

Well Im already buying like 3 EA Games this year, I need to start putting titles for 2011 on the docket, lol. Mirrors Edge 2 would have been nice

EA would still save the big hitters like Mirrors 2 and Mass 3 for E3 or another big trade show, and not do them today. The showcase had a primary focus on fall titles, early 2011 and some known projects getting more detailed. It's not a place for "INSANE MEGATON ANNOUNCEMENT!"

Not really that bad of a conference even if there weren't any megatons. Definitely awkward and dull but I saw stuff I want so whatever.

Still need to pick up Sims 3 and I'm sure I'll get the expansions eventually like I always do. Darkspore looks pretty promising, and I want to see more of Age of Doom Reckoning Questhammer, I like seeing someone talk about their game when they're clearly excited about it. Still completely do not understand the decision not to show the trailer.

GAF != realistic expectations

If anyone hoped that EA would announce Mirrors Edge 2 I think they are pretty busy with BBFC2 Vietnam Expansion, Medal of Honor and a new Battlefield.

Suda Project - probably TGS
Syndicate - maybe GamesCom or next Game Informer cover story (Starbreeze is a european developer after all)

If *put name of anticipated game here* blame Geoff Keighley he has secured all the world exclusive rights on the one minute teaser trailers for the VGAs at the year end.:D :D :D :D :D
*like Saints Row 3 which was a no show at E3 because of an exclusive deal with the VGAs*

‘You will see another Mirror’s Edge for sure’ says exec.

This leaves me still hopeful, but over a year with no more news is really pushing my patience.
That says DICE is working on it with a small team. DICE had Bad Company 2 earlier this year, the multiplayer of Medal of Honor at the end of this year, some expansion-stuff for BC2, and they're still rumored to work on Battlefield 3. DICE is busy. Don't expect to hear anything about ME2 for another year, when DICE's pipeline is a little less clogged up.

Best
Santa Claus in Madden 11, that was my megaton of the show. Bas Rutten. Curt Schilling vomiting excitement out of every orifice.

Worst
Nothing about Battlefield or Bad Company. You'd think they'd at least talk about BC2 Vietnam some.

Don't hate, just realize that you need to start re-building your hopes and expectations that the next new game EA announces will be an SSX successor. Then when it doesn't happen, repeat the cycle with added longing.
That is the one true path for fans of the franchise.

:)

Id say Alice being announced is worth something. Art style looks amazing, and those types of games always have potential to be fantastic.

It wasn't bad in itself; Alice looks great, 2 new RPG's. The problem was the counting. 'Seven New Games' turned out to be six- well, that alone isn't a bummer but of those 6 being a lackluster 3 mini-game collection with the Dead Space tag, Sims 3 expansion and NFL trainer left a bad taste, ended with a whimper.
Oh, forgot Fight Night. Fine, they had 7 new games but all the noteworthy were in the opening half. Also they way the introduced the EA Sports games as brand new stuff when only 2 of them were really.

People were actually expecting Mirror's Edge 2?

Come on now :lol
I know, it's almost as if people wanted something reasonable. A showing of a few good games, not one good game and a sack full of shitty ones.

Bummer.

Guys do you know were i can find the EA MMA footage?
