Oops, got interrupted and lost my train of thought. Can i save anywhere/anytime like skyrim?
Hmm.... well I hear black is in this season? Haha. I'm still confident that the community will come up with some unique styles.

This makes me worry about the games longevity.
"Bloodborne's world is a masterpiece"
"More coherent than Dark Souls"
In terms of the level design. They specifically compare it to Dark Souls. They say how the latter half Dark Souls lost some of that coherency, but in Bloodborne the design is intricate throughout.
"Bloodborne is Hidetaka Miyazaki's brutal riposte to the section of his playerbase that thinks it has seen it all before"
HYPE
"Gone is the dark fantasy, the faded crumbled majesty of the Souls series. Bloodborne is filthy, grisly, and very, very scary. It's a horror game."
SHIT

SHIELDS CONFIRMED
Blood Vials and Quicksilver Bullets have a maximum capacity butany surplus pickups are automatically sent to a storage box back at Hunter's Dream. Die and your stocks will be topped up when you respawn.
Lol 40hours and they haven't finished the game + chalice dungeon. I dont think length will be an issue.
wait only half-a-dozen weapons in 40 hour playthrough??? are they half dozen weapon types or half dozen total weapons???
On the evidence of our 40 hours in Bloodborne, some of that longevity - that sense of almost infinite possibility - is gone. There is no class system as such; your starting stats are dictated by your choice of Trick Weapon. Even as far as we are in the game, we have just half-a-dozen weapons and the same number of guns in our inventory, and there is little for sale frome the game’s sole merchant - or at least the only one we’ve found so far - that we either don’t already have or that seems sufficienlty different to what we already own to justify another run through. Enemies no longer drop weapons and gear, only items. There are far fewer chests out in the world, and those that do exist will more likely contain an item than a new sword, gun or piece of armour.
The fact that enemies don't drop weapons/armor anymore and the quote about Edge only finding half-a-dozen weapons in their 40 hours worries me. RIP Fashion Souls.
Ouch
No juicy Loot Drops?
That is disappointing

Exactly. And no doubt there will be some secrets they missed, and more than likely unique weapons and armours in the chalice dungeons.
Because grinding Balder Knights over and over was so much fun.
I'm very pleased if our games really have become popular, but we don't keep that in mind, and especially didn't when making Bloodborne. Also, I don't know if it's appropriate to say this, but I'm not a big fan of the market-driven approach personally. Our philosophy hasn't changed much since Demon's Souls.

I just like that you could dress yourself up as the enemies you fought
I also likes doing Loot Drop only no farming runs
Made for some interesting playthroughs
Dark Souls 2 definitely overdid it to the extreme since many weapons were basically clones and subsets
Still the armor drops were harmless. #ilovefashionsouls
Since they are transforming weapon, you could pretty much count them as two weapon instead.wait only half-a-dozen weapons in 40 hour playthrough??? are they half dozen weapon types or half dozen total weapons???

Holy shit, i guess the little guys help out even more than i thought."any surplus pickups are automatically sent to a storage box back at Hunter's Dream"

I could see how this would be unsavory for the roleplayers out there.
It seems theyre really going back to basics a la Demon's where you didnt really get weapon/armor drops. Im okay with this. Less bloat more time for actual game.
The 'sole merchant' part bums me out.
Heh.
Not really. Souls games are constantly saving to disc, every time you die, pick up an item, kill a monster, etc.
Unlike Skyrim, you can't revert to an old save. Whatever you do goes onto your "permanent record" so to speak. Your actions have consequences.
EDGE - If someone plays the game alone, without ever connecting online, how much of the whole game do you think they are missing out on? In other words, how important is online play in terms of how you've designed the game?
Miyazaki - That is a tough question. Playing offline is your choice, and some players simply cannot play online for various reasons. So I wouldn't say theya re missing out, to be honest. It is true that we desgined the game to have a variety of unique online gaming experiences, but it is not like players are going to miss something critical if they don't play online. That said I'd like users to play the game online if they can.
EDGE - This is a much more attack-minded game. Did the shield-up, defensive approach many players took in the Souls games frustrate you?
Miyazaki - No, not at all. I love the defensive approach, that is why Demon's Souls was designed like that. Just because we took a different approach to this time, it doesn't mean that we disapprove of the player keeping his shield up. I don't get frustrated by any approach, except when someone is clearly trying to annoy others.

FUCK ME"Bloodborne is filthy, grisly, and very, very scary. It's a horror game."
I remember reading not long after it was announced that there would be less weapons overall than the Souls games but that they would all be more equal/viable, and not every weapon would be transformable.
Fuck. It's getting harder and harder to wait."Gone is the dark fantasy, the faded crumbled majesty of the Souls series. Bloodborne is filthy, grisly, and very, very scary. It's a horror game."
SHIT
Couple of questions from the Miyazaki interview:
I love Edge, I love the way they write, I love the artistry of their covers...But they gave Dark Souls 2 a 9/10.
I need to hear it from someone else other than the publication that deemed Dark Souls the game of the generation.
Still though, hearing that "Bloodborne's world is a masterpiece" certainly brings a smile to my face.
