EGM November 2008 Reviews and Rumors

I'm bumping this because I just noticed something - since it's probably not Trico after all, and Kenji Eno didn't announce his new game at TGS:

Isn't someone at EGM a huge Kenji Eno fan? His new game is supposed to be in the next EGM or the one after the next, and assuming the sundial pointing to three has a meaning, could it be D3? I guess Eno still owns the rights to the D franchise, and the previous two games took place in different locations (Los Angeles and Canada), so maybe D3 will take place in Manhattan?

Interesting speculation. Mielke's a big fan of Kenji Eno, so he would definitely hype up an announcement like that, and, as you said, Kenji Eno's new game is supposed to show up in one of the upcoming EGM's.

I found the interview with Eno, from the EGM September issue:

1UP: And since then, you've been able to stay visible on some level, throughout the eight years you haven't been involved in gaming. What is it about the gaming climate, or your mood, or your artistic urges, that are making you want to come back into gaming now?

KE: The biggest reason that I wanted to come back to gaming is something that I can't reveal right now -- because if I say the reason, it's going to reveal which platform I'm working on. So I'll probably reveal it in the next issue -- or the next, next issue -- of EGM.
