Really enjoyed Enslaved, I've always thought that with a sequel the devs could really build upon what they had done and refine the experience (think Assassin's Creed 1 to 2).

I liked it a lot, didn't mind the technical issues on PS3, paid for DLC and enjoyed it, would double dip on PS4 for 1080p60, not ashamed of it!

I also liked the combat and set pieces.

Wasn't this a flop?

Mega-flop.

And the only nice thing I can say about from the PS3 demo was the art-style was nice and the Uncharted Platforming wasn't awful. But the story and gameplay beyond that? Yeesh, do not want.

Sounds like you only played the demo and are commenting on story and gameplay? Yeesh.

if not I apologize ;)

Really fun game. Graphics were nice on consoles, voice acting superb and a nice story. Gameplay could have used some more work.

I never got around to picking up Pigsy's Perfect 10 so if it comes with the re-release I'm in for sure. I've heard good things about it.

He's not wrong on either. The games saving grace is its dialogue, which is honestly the only thing Ninja Theory do right in any of their games.

Will buy this if it's real. Didn't get the original release. Wonder why it's rated M now though. It used to be T.

Have to admit, I could never get into this game. I definitely tried, playing it at different times, months apart. Didn't do anything for me.

Been hoping for a PC release since I played it on PS3, wasn't expecting it to happen though. Nice.

Enslaved was a fantastic game, but felt incredibly constrained by the hardware it was running on. I would love a next-gen/PC release, where it could really shine.

couldn't agree more, some battles were tedious because they felt like a slide show. would love to try it on PC.

Game with the most beautiful colors this gen. And best character-couple (together with Prince/Elika from PoP 2008). Would by a PC version on day 1.

DmC had terrible dialogues. I'd say the only thing they always get right is the art direction. All of their games looks stunning.

One of the few games, where the framerate really bothered me (gave me headaches).

Would play if rereleased on better hardware and good framerate.

I actually loved this game. The performance problems were sometimes noticable but not the absolute deal breaker the vocal part of GAF make them out to be.

I don't even think their art design is all that. There's no restraint it's just too damn garish. I love color but you still need apply in a manner that just feels right. NT games always come across as a rainbow vomit, they take it too far with brightness which makes their game look like early gen titles. I get the feeling they overcompensate.

This game came out in like 2008 why is it getting a re release now?

Brutal Legend came out in 2009 and got a PC release this year, primarily because Double Fine were chasing a little additional cash (IIRC). Not sure how Ninja Theory are doing financially.

Anyway, I quite liked Enslaved. For the right price I might double-dip.

Demo already exists. I didn't love it, but is the plot/characters interesting? I love the setting but can't decide if it's worth a play thru. Is it long?

I think most people who played it will tell you that the interactions between the characters are some of the strongest parts of the game. I enjoyed the gameplay well enough, but the storytelling was what kept me playing.

In terms of length, I think it's pretty standard, i.e. between about 6 and 9 hours, depending on whether you rush or not.

I never got that.

You play as a dumb, but strong ape-like creature, who gets literally enslaved by a woman. You die when you get too far from that woman. Sometimes too far is some meters, sometimes it's much more. It's dependant on the level that you are in. Doesn't make sense, but whatever.

And then after a while
this creature seems to forget all of this and starts to "like her" despite still wearing that explosive collar. Trip even promised to remove it but breaks that promise, because lady wants revenge or something. And when she finally wants to deactivate it, the ape-like stupid character tells her not to, because he likes it or something like that.
For me this doesn't make sense.

Maybe it's supposed to be Stockholm syndrome. Maybe that character is too dumb to get it.
Maybe he likes getting blown up into pieces.
Maybe they just did it to keep a "game mechanic". idk. I never managed to get into that mindset. For me Trip was always a selfish asshole.

And it doesn't help when the game runs in the broken mess that is Unreal Engine 3. Especially for the PS3 version.
