Entwined Announced For PS4, Now Available

To be 'that guy' how is this technically? Framerate? Resolution? 3D support?

No 3D support that I could see, sadly. I'm sure it's running at 1080p, framerate seemed to be around 60 for the most part but there were some odd hiccups, especially at the end of each level.

I bought it. Gameplay gets pretty old. It's a relaxing game I suppose. But it's no Journey or Flower.

Really? I found the gameplay kept fresh with each level as it kept throwing new patterns at you.

Yeah, I noticed hiccups in the beginning and the end, when it's apparently loading the coming section, but it didn't affect the gameplay in any way.

And I agree, gameplay-wise it works fine. I've already played it through twice.

The guy who came out to present the game was ex director from Star Wars 1313!

No wonder I remember his face. That was bothering me. Looks good, I'll think of picking it up to help on his new project.

Loved it. Beat it about one hour sitting. Never grew tired of gameplay as each level adds a bit of its twist. Oddly enough, lvl 4 had a lot of weird hiccups. Too bad Unity isn't that smooth around edges and some oddly low res alpha laying around. Overall, it's no Dyad visually and it's no Flower, but it's definitly a nice gameplay, a good audiovisual experience and its full of poetry.

I enjoyed what I played of it. Beat the story mode in about an hour or so. Challenge mode is fun! That's where the addicting High Score part is.

This game gives me stress instead of relaxation. I seem to lack the coordination required to control two separate things with two analog sticks. This was already obvious when i played Brothers: a tale of two sons but it's much worse here.

Other than that, i think it is not a bad first effort for a new studio. Presentation wise, it is very nice indeed. I like the visuals, the design, the menu screens and the music. It's a pity they didn't manage to iron out the few technical issues, especially the frame rate at particular times (i assume during loading).

Gameplay wise, it's not a bad idea either. It will most probably not satisfy players looking for a hardcore gameplay experience but the core idea is good. However, i feel that it needed to be spiced up with more variety or more surprises. Also, i didn't feel any sort of emotional connection in this game.

I don't regret buying this since i like to support new and promising game developers. And i think there is promise here. Presentation wise, i think they are already on the right track. They "just" need to find that magical ingredient that made games like Flower and Journey so good. I look forward to the next project already.

Edit: just finished. I really liked the presentation in this game: very nice visuals and music. I wonder if the music will be made available. I'd love to listen to it again.

I really like it, very chill game. I spend most of my time in the challenge mode in hopes of rising up on the leaderboards.

I was enjoying this game well enough until my wife asked if she could play. Specifically, she asked if there were a two-player mode. There isn't, so we just held one Dual Shock and each person controlled a stick. I expected it not to work very well, but actually when you play that way it feels as if the game were designed with that play style in mind. Totally different experience.

Started playing this earlier.

I like the main-levels themselves to make the dragon, but then that weird bit at the end where I have to collect things and skypaint or whatever is completely unnecessary. Feels like a part inspired by Flower only the execution is nowhere near as good.

Not as good as I was hoping really.

Picked the game up on a whim and really enjoyed it. Looked very nice and the gameplay was tricky but fun to master.

For £6.50 I've got no complaints.

Picked this up in a sale recently and started playing it last night. I really like it so far; it's pretty and relaxing and simple but still deceptively tricky. The storytelling is really minimal and cute and I like the art style. It's not quite a Journey-type experience, but hopefully this will be Pixelopus own Flow, and their next game might be a sharp improvement a la Flower.

Just played through this for the first time in a single sitting. It`s pretty short and cute.

At the same time, if you look at the whole thing as metaphorical it`s pretty powerful. A few parts towards the end choked me up when I thought of it in terms of relationships.

What a neat little game this is.
