Eternal Sonata for PS3 in North America

What the story got bad?

The story is just heating up in the one after Fantasie Impromptu. I am loving this game and the battle system. Chopins musical pieces are amazing.

Frederic and Sacred Signature is so hilarious after spamming it in so many battles.

Right, so I have the chance to get this game dirt-cheap from someone, worth bothering with? I'm really interested in hearing the opinions of people who played this for the first time and were posting positive impressions. People say the game sucks later, and the few people who finished the game and posted here seem to echo that statement.

So, for those of you who enjoyed the game at first, did it maintain the momentum and not turn into crap as the stigma goes? If it's completely enjoyable, I'll take the chance, but if the consensus is otherwise, I'll just skip it and focus on TLR.

Ordered mine for like $22 shipped from Amazon. Yeehaw.
I knew skipping the 360 version and waiting would pay off.
Maybe.

i won an original copy and an autograph copy with the directors and character designer's signature. Should come in the mail any day now.

Fuck Fort Fermata. I've been sitting on this game for three months and decided to pick it up now that I've finished Fallout 3, and here we are, playing through a frustrating dungeon at 1am with a nonsensical puzzle design, running around like an idiot endlessly getting nowhere and combat with the same enemies that's great the first few times and quickly a bore thereafter. Other than this I like the rest of the game so far. I just hope these annoyances aren't commonplace.

It took me 4 hours to finally get through there. My friends had dared me to play the game without consulting any FAQ at all so I had to go through with it. It took a while to figure out how all those silly rooms act and such but it was so worth it to make it through. Plus since it was so early in the game I finally understood how all the mechanics, worked. It took a while but ultimately it was done.

Fort Fermata? That was easy to get through, there are pictures the show what each of the room's does.

Anyway, apparently there is another "hidden" dungeon in the PS3 version called Church of EZI, the thing is it's only accessible in Encore.
Should I bother with Mysterious Union on my first play through or wait until my 2nd playthrough.

I wasn't enjoying the game enough to go through any bonus dungeons or even consider replaying the game. You don't need the extra experience to defeat the final boss, as long as you're not missing any blocks. Are you using Viola in your party?

I just got to chapter 7 in the Noisy Dunes or what ever it is. I like using all my party members, they are all at level 42.

The bonus tower in the 360 version is nuts hard, it's like the game adds a x4 to enemy attack and health just to laugh at you, I still need to beat it for that achievement.

If I had to take a guess I'd say you're way underleveled, like mid-50s.

The only hard fight of the whole dungeon is the one with
super Rondo

Most of the enemies in the dungeon can be taken down from behind.

Guess so, I beat the game then reloaded and used the key you get. I thought about going to grind a bit but not played the game for a while now.

I don't like buying online unless I have to and I've been to about a dozen Gamestops. None have it.

Sold out for months

If you are gonna put all sorts of silly restrictions on how you can buy it then sure, you'll have a hard time. But your stubbornness doesn't make it hard to find.

There's nothing silly about not liking online shopping.
