So if I activate Blazer in the first round, it targets all the enemies, and I get that message "Waiting for the magic to infuse the next strike." my Landsknecht does not attack at all.
Now, if I go to round 2 and attack with my Landsknecht, the following happens: 1. It only targets one enemy instead of the entire group. 2. It does exactly the same amount of damage as a normal attack.

...just WOW, I didn't see that coming, nice change of palette for what limits it has, just fought the first pair of bosses there, I guess I can see how this is going to end now.
Also, the B7F quest boss just kicked my ass, it's the girl isn't it? Feels like it's almost time to reset all my skill points...

Error said:my alchemist is almost level 20 and he is soooooooooo slow
alske said:You need to use Blazer the same round that you use Fire with your Alchemist. Blazer will cause a second hit of fire to any enemy that is hit by fire magic during the round in which it is used.

I just beat them with most of my party at 15. My level 11 alchemist (newer character), who was the key, used level 10 poison until it stuck, while the rest of the party went full defense: a quicken from the survivalist and a defender from the protector first off, afterwards everyone just defending except for b. guards from the protector when my healer needed to salve.VenusandBacchus said:what level were you guys when you could finally beat the stalker FOEs on BF3 I'm at fifteen with all 5 charcters and still get slaughtered

I was chatting with my brother today, when the conversation invariably turned to Etrian Odyssey. He's my elder by 4 years, and we both grew up playing these ancient CRPGs that EO takes its cue from. EO happens to be the first game we both picked up independently on the same day... ever. So, even though I'm way farther than he is, we talk shop and strategies with just about every conversation.
Today, we decided to swap questing tales. I'm on B7F, and he's just attained B5F, and thoroughly confused as to why I had just breached 20 quests+missions, and why he only had about 7 logged and available. I was at a loss. I rifled off a bunch of quests (and their sequels) that I know for a fact he should have encountered by now... and nothing.
I was at a loss, knowing that neither the quests nor the missions are random. Then he began to complain about how far apart the town-portals are (every 6th floor, apparently).
*Dead silence*
"What about the warp wires?" I asked him.
"What warp wires?" was his response.
As it turns out, the silly bastard never took the advice of the Rhada Hall elder when reporting in after the first completed mission. He never took that note to the shopkeeper, who in turn never opened up her shop's content (including warp wires from the get-go!), which in turn stifled the inevitable triggers to something like 2/3rds of the quests up to that point!
In disbelief, he loaded his game then and there, proceeded to the shopkeeper, gave her the note, and made available the warp wires and like 5 quests (each of which he had long accomplished). Amusingly, since he had previously gathered the materials for the Hand Axe and Short Bow (the first two shopkeeper quests), she acknowledged that he completed them, but wouldn't give him the rewards! But finally resolving those early quests opened up the rest he was missing as well! Hahahah. Awesome game!
(PS, he's been trekking to B5F... AND BACK! manually!! Hahahah!)

It's hard to tell how useful they are, at level 1, Bravery does almost nothing for my melee classes

The effects of at least the Protector "defender" buff don't show up in the stats there, though. Maybe other buffs do, but I haven't seen any. Then there's stuff like the survivalist's "quicken" which affects your AGI, and AGI's not even listed in the in-combat Y screen.duckroll said:Use it, hit Y to check character stats, use it again, hit Y again, and find out!

One nitpick though: wish there was a LH option where you could move with the face buttons... I could draw the map while walking around then...
