DAAAAAAAMN.
That's high praise, even by EA standards. <3 that Metro review.

Dungeon Keeper Gold is $5.99 on gog.com
If anyone you know shows sign of interest in this mobile version, direct them there instead to save their sanity.
Let's be generous. Those glimpses of the game Dungeon Keeper used to be are enough to earn one point. You can have the rest for 800 gems.
I know it'll never happen, but, the industry would be better off without EA.
Seems to be working:

All hail the digital, mobile future.
Here you go, this is the only way a quicklook of this game can be done

We need a Gerstmann/Caravella quicklook on this pronto, just for the laughs.
I learnt about this from the funny pics thread :

pls EA, I used to love DK so much
What would they even get to do? You wait hours just so you can do 30 seconds worth of stuff, or pay up.

On Twitter I saw earlier that they were place 1 and 2 at some point.
I think these threads should also be used to promote what seems to be a true Dungeon Keeper successor called War for the Overworld: https://wftogame.com/
what are the best games in this "genre"?
I have only played a few, they were all terrible and dungeon keeper doesnt seem to be that much different.
So, am I right to assume that you need to buy some sort of microtransactions to make them speed up? No other way around it?
the amount of gems mined from each square can be counted on your fingers, while every gem transaction costs in the hundreds.
Dungeon Keeper, Dungeon Keeper 2, Evil Genius and maybe Startopia.
I'm sorry, I meant these mobile building sims like cash of clans, tiny tower etc. which this new dungeon keeper mobile game seems to be based on
are there any actual good ones? and what are they doing better than dungeon keeper?

Really shows just how completely fucked the mobile game enthusiast press is when they're giving this atrocity 7s and 8s
Touch Arcade aren't so bad (1 out of 5):Really shows just how completely fucked the mobile game enthusiast press is when they're giving this atrocity 7s and 8s
did they even play it or were they just born with hearts full of evil?

The benefits of having lots of heavyweight IPs and developers locked down. People may hate EA, but they're still going to buy the next Madden/FIFA/Mass Effect/Dragon Age/whatever regardless. Not to mention their... 'influence' on the gaming press when it comes to whipping up hype for new things like Titanfall.EA starting off 2014 strong I see. A good sign of things to come.
How is a company with 0 positive brand recognition able to still be one of the most successful video game publishers?
I'd very much like a link to a good mobile game review site. Most I've seen are miserable places that give good reviews to microtransaction-heavy trash.
Didn't Jeff bought Skin Pack for Gears 3 during QL?That'd only be about 2 minutes long before a 24 hour wait time.![]()

Haha I really though you meant the original game. Yeah no idea. Everyone of these looks awful to me. They are all just busywork with timers that try to suck money out of you.
