Why would there be a worry? Wouldn't NERD work on the SNES Mini just like the did for the NES Mini?
I know this would never happen, but would be so funny if not a single person bought one in retaliation on how they handled the whole NES mini fiasco.
I mean what are they thinking, there is massive demand for the NES Mini, no one can keep stock of them for more than an hour and they decided to stop production of the until, golf clap to Nintendo!

I really should have bought the NES Mini when I saw like 6 or 7 of them sitting randomly on the shelve in March. Now they are probably all gone.
Why would you not pick up at least one knowing how rare they are
One interesting though I had...if they do decide to charge more then $60 for it maybe they could include the first party games from the NES Mini on the system as well to add valve. They could also make it compatible with the NES mini controllers if you didn't want to use the SNES pad to play NES games.
I expect the opposite, actually. Those who missed out at NES mini are probably the ones drilling the F5 button on retailer sites seconds after the official announcement.

Nintendo have always charged more for SNES games so I'll be surprised if it's the same price or the same quantity of games.

With that said, they have the NES mini experience under their belt now in terms of estimating demand, and the Switch is out so there goes the 'building momentum/hype' argument for those who adhere to that. Let's see what happens when the system is again miscalculated and under-shipped. Scalpers are already grabbing their lotion and jerking it at the possibilities.

I hope not. I don't want less games lol. I want 30 games and I know it will be more than $60. Give me 30 games for $80-$100 over 20 games for $60.

I don't recall UK preorders for the NES Mini going too fast, my preorder was stress free. It's when it hit store shelves that there were issues.
It's been long speculated that there's a licensing problem with the SFX chip itself, as Nintendo doesn't actually own that technology, nor does it seem very clear as to who would needed to be tracked down in order to license it out since Argonaut's dissolution. This would be why we've only ever seen the GBA version of Yoshi's Island on VC, and why we haven't seen any of the other SFX games since they never got ports.

The need permission for most of these games.. I think the only Rare N64 game we saw in virtual console is DK64.

I'm not sure about that. There is a certain fetishism that surrounds the NES and its prototypical games that the Super Nintendo simply doesn't have.
I think its catalog is undeniably more popular, but I also think it's less suited for the kind of mania inspired by "the original Nintendo."
But we shall see either way.

Really? I could see it being Final Fantasy II (4). I'm relatively confident that someone at SE made a demonic pact that requires them to put FFII on every platform possible.

I'd still buy this even if they raised the price. SNES holds a place in my heart (and has better games).
