Every PS1 game in one 2-hour video

None of the Duke Nukem games were particular good on the PS1

Haha, at the Dukes of Hazard games... they made two of them?

Now F1 games...

And now, the Final Fantasy games.

More fishing games.

High Heat Baseball....

"Ess soo reeeeeeeeeeeal"

Man, Adventures of Lomax is still a looker to this day. It could quite easily pass as a modern game in light of Rayman.

did this guy seriously record footage every single ps1 game stretched to 16x9?

I'm apparently a heathen for saying so but I think they look better that way. Fill your screen, black bars suck. I seem to be part of a small crowd that don't care that it was originally 4:3.

I love PSX style unfiltered 3D. It is not ugly to me at all. The only annoying thing is the texture warping, wobbly stuff. Do emulators fix that?

Watching this. So many memories.

edit: Holy crap Alien Resurrection .. never played it before, the 5 seconds made it seem like Alien Isolation on the PS1.

edit2: goddam that's a lot of Army Men games..

More like Quake 2.

It makes for an interesting bookend with Alien Trilogy, which was a straight-up Doom clone.

MTV Music Maker... I remember that.

So many racing games. And so many god damn NASCAR games...

Now there's a 20 minute montage of NBA, NFL and NHL games.

Y'all are trippin'. The PS1 is waaaayy better than the PS2. You can have that shovelware.

OT- Nostalgia overload man.

Outstanding platformer imo, though it's obvious near the end that the devs ran out of time (reused bosses and some pretty shit levels in the last world.)

Yep. In fact I played through MGS yesterday and the PSX bootup sound is still unbeaten. Then the Konami-Policenauts jingle kicks in, it's just awesome.

To be fair though there was a lot of shovelware on the PSX as well.

One thing I just realized, if virtual fishing is your thing, you better get a PSX!

Don't forget pool, I had at least three pool games back then, I shit you not.

All these sports games in the N's have me like

Telltale signs you're playing a stereotypical 90's PS1 game: Redbook audio CD music which feels completely disconnected from the low quality sound effects, which are completely bloated with repetitive voiced soundbites that tend to overlap eachother.

Bomberman Fantasy Race is damn good, actually.Really fun to play, decent graphics, and unlocking the black Rabbit and White unicorn was kinda hard

The PSone Gameday games were great. And the theme song for the series was so good

Loved the Gameday games. Tekken and NFL Gameday were the first two games I purchased with the first PlayStation.

While a friend of mine had his N64 and Quarterback Club, and would rave about the 'graphics and breath', I happily played 60fps and no N64 infamous fog, versus the sluggish 15-20fps on the N64. With sports games, responsiveness and framerate are king so I refused to purchase N64 ones.

Haha, the Vampire Hunter D game.

I remember that going for a hefty price on eBay despite being dogshit. People were really desperate for anything anime-related back then.

Love how nearly every sports/dog fighting/racing/vehicle combat game just blasts those guitar riffs. What a 90's console.

Yeah, lol.

I remember the Battle Arena Toshinden kiosk demo they had blasting with a subwoofer at KB Toys sold me on purchasing the system. I actually rented it from Blockbuster at first, then got one the day after Christmas that year with money that was given as gifts, lol.

It sat nicely next to the SNES and SegaCD/32X combo, lol.

Colin McRae Rally looks pretty amazing for a PSX game, I completely forgot about these games despite owning one of them.

edit: Gotta love the Disney licensed Crash Bandicoot clones!

Bloody Roar 2 looks pretty good actually.

And I laughed at Blood Omen's "Vae Victis!". Me and a friend still say that every know and then :)

Alien Resurrection is by far the scariest game on PS1. Highly recommend trying it.

Kinda bittersweet seeing all the flight/starship combat games in here. 3 years into this gen and we got nothing on that front. At least port Ace Combat Infinity over or somethin', geez.

Half an hour in and my three thoughts are:

1. Wow there were a LOT of army men games.
2. Barely any of the games I haven't played before make me want to track them down and play them - ps1 games looked (and looked like they played) mostly horrible. I feel like I played a majority of the good ones.
3. Haha framerates back then - those games would get eaten alive in modern gaf.

I like how a lot of these NFL games have seemingly no sound distance propagation, so it's just a complete cacophony of male grunting.

Bloody Roar 2 looks pretty good actually.

Fantastic game. Easily the best installment in the entire series and one of my favourite beat 'em ups (that's what we call them in the UK).

Long the Tiger was a beast, no pun intended.

lies, it was totally intended

For its time that ps1 games library was unmatched. The N64 had more gotg titles but overall ps1 had a lot more good to excellent games. The diversity and many unique titles was another big plus for me.

Ps1 made me the Playstation fan I am today. Ps2 and ps3 just cemented Sony's consoles as the defacto choice for me every new generation.

I've noticed an omission (I think). There's a game called Bloodlines or Blood Lines that isn't featured in the video. It was a 3D fighting-in-a-arena type game, not unlike Power Stone. I think I've still got the demo of it that came with OPM. Must've been a really low key release if it couldn't even find a place in such a comprehensive vid.

I think Bloodlines only released in Europe, hence not in this list. This is a US PS1 game only.
