Another delay. Holy shit, is there anything that isn't getting delayed these days.
Wow, the dust continues to collect on my PS4.
People play video games in the summer too, ya dingus!
Time to replay some PS3 games![]()
So read this again and the previews were on pc yet the game Is having framerate problems, fucking hell? Graphics don't look on par, I mean the faces and textures look quite bad.
I'm getting this game on pc already with hopes Modders will do the job..
Wow, the dust continues to collect on my PS4.
I don't understand why every year, there are like 0 games released during the summer, 1 or 2 big franchises in Sep, then 100 games in October, rinse, repeat.

this game is going to get slaughtered in October.
I think our reviews are!![]()
So here's my summary of the objective information from various previews. Can be adopted for the OP:
Settings and General Information
- Demos were played on PC with 360 controller
- The main character is Sebastian Castellanos.
- Demo includes chapters 4 and 8.
- Chapter 4 takes place in a village.
Fairly combat heavy with puzzles mostly in the form of traps. You are accompanied by a Doctor Jimenez to assist in searching for his patient, Leslie.- Chapter 8,
, takes place in a mansion and is puzzle heavy.Cruelest Intentions Ghosts materialize at times to provide backstory, alongside traditional audio and document sources.- 9 types of Collectibles in the game:
Documents, Key Items, Map Fragments, Newspapers, Bulletin Boards, Missing Persons, Heart Lines, Notes, and Audio Tapes.
General gameplay
- Weapon wheel mapped to the D-Pad is available for real-time weapon selection. Time slows down a bit when in use, but enemies can still go in for the kill easily.
- There is a stamina bar that heavily limits running.
- Weapons include revolver, shotgun, knife, axe, and Agony Crossbow.
- Axes are limited use weapons picked up from the environment/enemies
- Crossbow utilizes various bolts, which are rare to find. Examples are bolts that freeze, blind, explode, and electrocute enemies. Weapon described as lifted from Shadow of the Damned and a 'last resort'.
- Ammunition in general is limited in supply.
- Non-combat items such as matches, health syringe, medical kits and lantern are mentioned.
- Matches are used to burn downed enemies. Limited supply, with the player only able to carry 5 to begin with (Ch.4) and 8 later on (Ch.8)
- Health syringe is a quick, low yield healing item
- Glow of lantern can alert enemies
- Medical kit heals more than the health syringe and increase available health, but causes a blurred distortion effect for a few minutes when used.
- Inventory sounds to be fairly limited to start with. Not clear if this is due to a management system or a limit placed on each specific item.
- Green jars can be collected to use in an upgrade system
- Crouching mapped to bumper buttons
- Silent, stealth takedowns are possible.
- Traps act as puzzles, source of items if disarmed, and as possible weapons against the enemies in the game. Parts gathered from trap disarming are used for upgrading ammunition, such as crafting bolts.
- Players can hide under beds, in lockers, and in closets to avoid enemies.
- Melee primarily useful for creating distance or stealth kills
Enemies
- Takes only a few hits to kill the player
- In general, enemies seem to be varied in design and use.
appears to be the primary antagonist.A white, hooded figure named RuvikWill randomly spawn in areas to confront the player. Cannot be killed. Can kill the player instantly with merely the wave of a hand. Reported that he will disappear if enough time goes by through hiding or simple evasion- Death animations are in.
- Enemies must be burned (through matches) to prevent returning. No transformations have been cited. This is done through matches.
- The Grudge-Spider woman from the trailers is
Laura, who can spawn from any pool of blood or remaining corpses. She cannot be killed as well.- Do drop ammunition at times (2 or 3 rounds have been cited)
Technical Elements
- Framerate dips a noticeable occurrence. Rely on Horror reports Bethesda is looking to remedy the situation over the next several months of optimization.
- Level transitions seems to be seamless with no apparent loading, though could be limited to the demo.
- Game content is complete and in a period of polish and optimization
Edit: Making additions to things I missed over from some articles.
Edit 2: Think that's everything without going into the subjective, contradictory information being thrown about.
Eh... There was a time I was pretty excited about this, but no more.
Combat looks boring. Doesn't look scary. I don't want to just play a disturbing shooter.

I was really looking forward to playing this over the summer, as the PS4 drought is real. I have Infamous (completed twice) and the free PS+ games, but none of them hold my interest.

I can't be the only person that has been reading these previews and thinking HOLY SHIT this is THE game I'm waiting for. I'm starting to feel like I'm the only one and that I'm crazy! Honestly, I think the game continues to sound and look better and better as the months go on.
That destructoid preview is not reassuring.
This terrifies me because I'm a big fan of Mikami-san's games and thought this one would be pure awesomeness.
I'm so scared. Hold me!
I read that article, and definitely didn't come to that conclusion at all... Could you give us a quote or something? I mean... Everyone would like to be working on different things. Kojima, for example, has spoke over and over of his desire to work on something other than Metal Gear. But if people like them really want to work on something different bad enough they have a high enough profile to do that, whether it is at another major game company or going indy.
you don't have to buy all those end of year games at the end of the year you know? maybe buy some in summer when you're oh so desperate for something to play? they'll be cheaper too. win/win.
Zero interest in Ubisoft games.Watchdogs seems to me like a copy/paste of the AC games. What about Watch Dogs? The PS4 version was never going to be like the 2012 PC footage, and most folks on GAF who have the game seem to be enjoying it very much.
No interest. Maybe when it's on sale for $20.There's also Murdered Soul Suspect that's around the corner, but I know nothing about that game.
I don't like paying full retail for shootbangs anymore. Maybe once it's on sale in a few monthsEdit: Oh, forgot about Wolfenstein.
Yeah, I will probably get this over the weekend, as I am almost done with Outlast. There are games out there though outside of the PS+ and Indie titles. If you don't find any of those interesting, than that's more of a personal issue than a lack of game releases.
Ninja Edit 2: And there's the Whistleblower DLC for Outlast.
There is a quote (which I unfortunately can't find) where he particularly states that he doesn't want to work on horror games after leaving Capcom, at least not for a long time, and the Polygon article indirectly mirrors that. Although it may be that Vanquish got that out of his system. Who knows? The point I'm making, or at least hypothesising, is that horror games no longer seem to be his priority after leaving Capcom, despite still having an obvious healthy respect and maybe even love for the genre. And if TEW is lacking in ambition or ideas, as the press are suggesting, then it may be that his heart isn't fully in it as a result.
But then again, it could end up being a goddamn classic. We won't know until we've tried it.

Ugh forgot Bethesda was in on this... I am actually worried about the technical problems now.
Why? They just publish it, this is all by Tango Games.
GAF awake? Good....

I believe it's still using their technology.

oh my god.
They're really doing this.
Wow.

Yeah I hate these. It's like they are trying to say "Hey, our game is scary. Swear!!"
Like when they did the Moms Hate Deadspace thing or whatever. They just don't need to do these.
But I really hope it does have some scares. And I hope it's good and a decent length. Two hour demo would make me hopeful it's a decent length though.
