Fairgames' director Daniel Drapeau has left Haven Studios and joined WB Games Montreal

Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?
4 years and 6 months of directing and left before the game's come out.

Failing upward.
More like sidegrades. From Ubisoft to Haven was a downgrade after the clear failure Fairgames seemed to be. Then going for Warner is just changing shit to feces with how bad their gaming division has been doing (aside from Hogwarts).

Sony is dumb as dog shit, stop blowing money on these studios and just outright buy one of the popular GaaS studio games - DayZ or whatever that PUBG shit is. Microsoft snatched Minecraft and Sony probably should have just taken one of the bigger chess pieces as well.

You know what? Understandable. If I was working on a game that was as culturally out of touch as Fairgamedollarsign, one that got deservedly torn apart after the very first reveal just on account of being corny as fuck, I would also want to get the hell away from the studio working on it.

Yup.

I like these types of games, I'd be the target audience even. Payday, L4D etc but yeah the art direction tells you all you need to know about this one.

I'm still waiting on Den of Wolves (and hoping that it's good). There's been small videos of gameplay posted on 10 Chambers' YouTube, but no extended gameplay look yet.

I'm still waiting on seeing how they attempt to rebrand it following that CEO's murder and the guy getting arrested at McDonalds

WB Games is an absolute circus of a developer so it's only fitting they hire a clown like this guy to run the show.

Just cancel the game and close the studio already.... Accept the loss and learn from this whole mess.

They won't though because Arrogant Sony is back and the leadership sucks total monkey nuts.

Called it.
Why did Sony even bother with Haven knowing Jade was in charge.
Shoulda bought exclusivity and saved the money for Concord 2.

Jade Raymond.
The breaker of promises.
At this point I dont think shes ever gonna actually produce a game that makes it to market.
Even with Sony backing Haven Studios I wouldnt be shocked if down the line of production she leaves and goes to another studio where she can NOT release a product there too.

The last game she actually produced was Assassins Creed in 2007.

Whatever Haven Studios is working on.

Just kidding this game is probably never coming out and Jade Raymond will leave the company leaving the project in limbo to become a PS+ title we all forget actually came out.

Games cost too much
We're paying people ridiculous sums of money to churn out what looks like very polished game engine tutorial projects.

You didn't even need to see anything more than the genre and 3 minute trailer of both concord and this to see they were never going to make it.

Failing upward.

How does this keep happening?

Who looks at that dude's resume and thinks "yup, this guy should be put in charge of our studio"? Dude worked 4.5 years on something, released nothing and is job hunting before literally any actual gameplay is shown. That is a massive red flag but these retards bring him in as creative director.

Cronyism, no doubt. There's just no other explanation.

Good. There will be a lot of talent who will be available as this GAAS disaster blows over.
People do realize Sony isn't moving away from live service, but learning and adapting their strategy, right?

I doubt they expected, at any point in time, to have 10 successful gaas games running.

Damn, so big studios of people closing down was part of Sony's plan all along? Brutal.
