Played through Skyrim as a male, so I think I'll go female here. Shame there isn't a ghoul race.
Female as always. I don't wanna see some dude's ass for 100 hours.
does it matter?
Not that I have a problem with it, but the recent statistics of women making up a good chunk the 'gaming demographic' (granted a lot of the ones that are counted include those who are exclusively on mobile or web gaming) would've lead me to believe more than just 18% of the player base would pick female.Does it really surprise you that men like to play as men?

It was still a dumb post. Clearly to some people it does matter hence Bethesda giving them a choice. Some people when they play RPG make gender actually matter beyondof the scope of what the developers do storywise.
It could be just me, but the whole "does it matter" just reinforces the "straight white male" character in videogames because it's seen as the "default".

Female, I like Courtenay Taylor. Also I play third person and female characters look cooler.
What's the romance situation in this game? I thought I read that they were putting some in this time?
Male![]()
Now that the Fallout 4 hype is hitting it's peak and we're just weeks away from getting the game; has anyone put any thought into which gender their wanderer will be?
The voice actors for the two are as follows:
Male: Brian T. Delaney (IMDB)
Female: Courtenay Taylor (IMDB)
They've both done mostly bit part roles in games here and there. Courtenay Taylor some may recognise as Jack's voice from Mass Effect.
I still haven't decided but usually go for a female character when there is a choice. Thoughts?
Not hyperbole at all. Perhaps they were literally asking "Does gender matter in this game. . ."
I'll be playing as Anabelle Jones, PhD. Post-Doc at The Institute, and synthoid sympathizer.
Female because I want to become sexually aroused by a protagonist in a video game.
