Nintendon't

So Nintendo, a firm known for imposing the strictest standards on third-party developers and publishers, has accepted as a launch game (the first actual third-party game to be fully and officially announced) a port of a free Korean online PC game.
Is this going to a trend for the Revolution? Will Nintendo accept anything to get games in boxes/on its online shop. And if it does, where does this leave the machine?
Of course, Nintendo climbed down of the power race before it even began. It mentioned nothing about quality though. I'm a Nintendo fan and I'm scared to death.
Any thoughts?
