Ps5 stonks up.

Switch is having shortages?

Mr PlayStation finally decided to shift some units over there. There is demand there but Nintendo is so far dominant it will take a price cut and a ps5 slim to eat into that marketshare.

“So let me get this straight.

I’m somewhere that’s not what I would call West. I’m selling freaking PlayStations. And, oh yeah! I’m hosting no shows! Yeah, ok, that is something I do now. I sell PS5s, produce jacked-up games. I’ll probably block Activision's acquisition next.” -- Jim Ryan.

Ps5 is still selling what they produce so there is no reason for a price cut, mind you they recently increased the ps5’s price in every single country and it’s still selling out.

I was going to say huh, how? But I guess it's not that surprising. It's just that Switch numbers are "low", which is normal at this time of its life.

Switch OLED shortage?
Lol. Switch simply cannot play the shortage card. That ship has sailed long ago. That card could've been played during the pandemic, but even then it was selling gangbusters. Now there is no shortage. Even PS5 is out of the shortage hole. Switch is just slowing down now, and that is normal. Eagerly waiting for its successor in 2024! (Hopefully March)

Market saturation is real. If there is no new hardware for Nintendo then they will have a very rough 2023. For them to rely on Zelda to carry an entire system for an entire year would be incredibly foolish. I hope they don't screw this up like they did with Wii...

To be honest, Zelda is big enough to carry Nintendo throughout the year. They just need to release the damn thing.

Zelda could carry a new system with millions upon millions of potential new owners for 2 years.

Zelda can't carry a 6 year old system that already has 100+ million units sold...at least not for an entire year.

Yeah, but that's the console sales ceiling that it'll hit regardless if Zelda launches or not. I think Switch is close to hitting its console sales ceiling.

My point was that Zelda will be able to keep Nintendo relevant throughout 2023. It'll sell a few additional units.

Everyone that wanted a Switch for Zelda most likely already bought a Switch at some point in the past 6 years....it's not going to do much for hardware sales on 2023.

I still stand by my statement that this will be a rough year for Nintendo if Zelda is in fact not a launch title of any kind. I may be wrong but...we'll see.

In regards to Disgaea, it's not really that bad. Unless the numbers are wrong and people expected this franchsie to do gangbusters?

Bout time the world starts moving on from the Switch so they get a sequel out. Having said that, I'm about to buy one for the kid (and so I can play BotW).

What is this and why do I want it?
That is basically Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life but with a different name.

It was originally released for the Gamecube, and later got a "Special Edition" for the PS2 with awful loading times.

The game is very unique in the HM franchise.
Basically after each year the game advances time, and all the characters in the game age and become old, including the main character and you son/daughter.

I think the game lasts around 3 or 4 years.
In the ending you can see which career you child chose to follow.
It's not as good as Friends of Mineral Town, but it has a lot of heart.

I'm not a big fan of this remake's visuals, they look too cute for a game with a slightly more serious tone.

Also, Lumina is best girl

Wow nobody cares about Xbox in Japan and it never changes.

How can you sell the most hardware worldwide when one of the biggest markets doesn't even show up?
