I find it interesting that the more expensive machine is selling almost twice as well. Not what I expected.

So happy to see Luigi's Mansion continuing to do well, it's been near the top of these lists for quite some time. And LMAO Level-5 having the nerve to release Yo-kai so close to Pokémon, thanks for participating lads.

Well, it gives you a $100 discount.

Sure, but what bothers me is that plenty of consumers will buy this for their kid, thinking it's identical, and later learn that it can't play any of the games that use detached controllers out of the box (also no 2-player out of the box, which means there isn't a real savings at all for most families who will need to immediately come back for $70 joycons for any multiplayer), can't connect to a TV and take advantage of the system's main feature as a hybrid, etc. That's a big change from the product its name will probably evoke for parents--the DS Lite--which didn't remove features, and was legitimately just a redesign. I think they should have called this one something that more clearly reveals it's a feature limited budget version.

Seems people still like the idea of playing on their TVs. That's good.

Or maybe it's the joycon, multiplayer.

It was selling below 10k for the past few months and suddenly it sells 40k without any new release.

It seems like last week rise was because a big Amazon sale.
Ok, and? What does it matter? We all know it's that time of the year (Black Friday-Cyber Monday + Christmas offers) and also at end of life cycle, so prices will obviously, definitely drop. It's the same everywhere, every time.

Oh, and the Switch had a good discount on Amazon as well, in case you didn't know.
