Father throws baby against a wall because 'he wouldn't stop crying'

For the record, it's not "babysitting" when it's your own kid. I see way too many dads that feel this way.

I worked in public services and we offered a program for low income women to have their day care and babysitting paid for while they worked or went to school, and you would be surprised at how many women would try to get us to pay the child's FATHER to watch his own kid, and were blown away when we tried to explain to them that no, when he's watching his own kid it's not babysitting and we're not going to pay for it. Fuckin' trashy ass people.

Usually there is a reason...see code above. Sometimes it's a little more complicated like needing a good shake and the right position to get a burp out, or a weird smell making it difficult for the baby to eat or sleep. Also a good swaddling is key.

Every time I walk into Off-Topic GAF I either laugh my ass off or get hella pissed at the tragic and/or stupid shit that goes on in our world.

I dunno, I have heard some parents horror stories of colicky babies driving them up the wall.

Mine has been awesome!

Code:
while(babyiscrying){
   check_diaper()
   feed()
   burp()
   rock()
}

Pretty sure I've seen him before. He looks like one of those douchebags that hang around Laser Tag all day because they have nothing to do.

You're not talking about the lazer tag on veterans are you? I was going to drop by there one day.

I'm still a little sore because I worked at the CompUSA that used to take up residence there. Loved that fuckin' job.

If you are not prepared to take care of a kid, don't put your condomless penis in someone else's vagina in the first place.

^^^what the fuck at the poster above me. Seriously dude?

As the father of a soon to be 8 month old, fuck this guy. He doesn't deserve the term, father.

Raising a kid isn't easy. My son is teething, so his life is pure hell right now. He's crying a lot, he rarely sleeps and his mouth is in pain. Is it frustrating, hell yes.

Having a kid is a huge responsibility. Was there times where my son has annoyed me to no end, yes (and there's probably going to be a lot more as he grows up).

However, there's no better feeling in the world then when I come home from work and he gets a huge smile on my face when he sees me.

I really hope they throw the book at this fuckwad.

F-ing idiot and burn-in-hell-please and all that, but

What does that mean? If a father is with his kid, is that still considered babysitting? That sounds off to me.

I was going to post the same thing. You don't 'babysit' your own kid.

My son, for about a month or so, would just scream-cry at midnight, every night. If he was asleep he would wake up and start. It was both frustrating as hell and impressive; he had some pipes on him (and still does).

Of course that doesn't excuse any sort of physical response on part of the parent.

And here I thought this thread was dwindling down; good save.

You heard right. While I'm not going to try and defend that douchebag actions, I can somewhat understand how a heavy colic baby could push a troubled human being to do something aweful. I swear to god, those shrieking sound of hell are just draining your sanity at such a rapid rate.
I have never been close to harm my two marvelous children. However, there was a couple of instances whence I had to go hide in a closet with my ipod at insane level to block out those inhuman sounds for a good 10-25 minutes. Just to cool down and set my mind straight.

Those sounds, those aweful sounds. They still haunt me today hahaha. I hear them sometimes even when the children aren't in the house.

Unfortunately, there remains the possibility that, in many countries even the most developed, people don't enough have good enough education so that they know how to make babies or how not to make them - and take care of them.

Don't remind me... It wasn't the volume, just how ice-cold and weirdly 'emotionless' they were. Soul-draining terror screams from void.

Thankfully now he just yells at me when he wants something.

That's the one. One of my best friends works there, so I drop in occasionally.

And I miss CompUSA. =(

We need to institute an exam before people can breed.

1. When your infant begins to cry do you

a. gently attend to the infant until it is pacified
b. punch it repeatedly in the head.

Sometimes I hate OT Gaf. Bring on the meteor!

I have a 5 month year old girl. Sometimes she gets cranky and screams her head off. Its frustrating as hell but there is a simple way to deal with it.

1. check the diaper, change if necessary
2. Try to feed if hungry
3. Try gas drops or baby oragel if teething
4. try to sooth, rock the baby.
5. If nothing works and you know the baby is dry, fed, not gassy, nothing visibly wrong, set the baby down in the crib and let it cry it out and walk away. Sometimes babies are going to cry and you can't do anything to make it stop.

This discussion in here sure is lively! And worthwhile.

Edit: Mods were nice enough to only lock my thread and not ban me, so I'll stop complaining.

I've got a feeling something will come to a head sooner or later, though.

But those abortion doctors are nothing compared to the millions of potential lives we have destroyed by eating our own cum bafflewaffle. I cant sleep at night anymore.
