Overwhelming odds, good teamwork between the cast, I love the scene 5 minutes in where they all line up, with "grandpa" Mazinger in front, the reflection in his eye later on, and the determination that follows, given the circumstances.

Beauty through teleports in ways I never thought possible - I wish I could find it on Youtube with better quality though...

Not to mention Gong is a greeeeat main theme

One Piece: Opening (English)
Rap has never been so cool on an anime. This intro is among some of my favorite. Way better than the Japanese counter part. Can't say much for the actual voice acting of the show though.

This is maybe the worst opening for a show i have ever seen

CBC's Hockey Night in Canada openings are fantastic, sometimes telling a story in music video format using brilliantly edited footage, recent and otherwise. A few of my favorites:

• Stanley Cup Playoffs Opening, April 14, 2010
  Dramatic, filled with sound bytes from some of the games best players over the years.
  
  
• Montreal Canadiens vs Pittsburgh Penguins, Game 6, May 10, 2010
  Even though I'm an anglophone, it was great to see CBC deliver a French opening for a Habs game using a local group. The refrain from that song wound up becoming the team's goal song.
  
  
• Montreal Canadiens vs Philadelphia Flyers, Game 1, May 16, 2010
  A quick and dirty history lesson of the rivalry between the two teams.
  
  
• Boston Bruins vs Montreal Canadiens, Game 3, April 18, 2011
  Favorite opening to a hockey game ever. The song, 5 Chords by The Dears, fit the mood of the video perfectly.

  Another perfect fit of music to video, this one set to Dropkick Murphy's I'm Shipping Up To Boston.

  The Who's Baba O'Riley.

A couple of game openings:

• World of Warcraft
  The CG openings for vanilla WoW and all its expansions are up there as some of my all time favorites, Wrath of the Lich King my favorite of the lot. The art direction, music and voice acting are top notch stuff.
  
  
• Final Fantasy VI
  Unlike WoW, this one doesn't need any flashy CG or orchestrated music to win me over. I still get goosebumps every time Terra's theme kicks in during that march to Narshe and the opening credits roll.
