Though this seven minutes does it for me. The darkest seven minutes in all of Trek. The murder of an innocent man by the "good guys", and dragging a bystander into a war based on lies.

Sisko beats Garak with his fists, but Garak destroys him with his words. Between him and Section 31, the series completely deconstructed the supposed utopia of Trek.

It's hard hitting but done in the shitty bland in offensive star trek way.

It didt feel very dramatic at all. Sisko is just a very poor commander. The worst of them all. Maybe babylon5 spoiled me.

Having seen TNG and Voyager fully and am halfway through DS9, Data, Worf, and the Doctor are my favorite non-captains so far (ECH aside). DS9 is tough, there is so much character development for everyone it'll be difficult to really choose since so many of them are awesome.

Damn that was good. I remember seeing that clip before I ever saw any DS9 and I didn't think it was that great. I got what he did, but I didn't really get the significance of the actions in the greater setting (with the war, federation principles, and these characters). Now, 17.5 seasons into Trek and halfway through DS9, goddamn that's good.

Like two bosses. But the one I mean is Wesley. Like another poster, he was the one I most associated with age wise when I was growing up because he was really smart and young.

Also that "ascension" shit he did near the end of the series was badass. He was so smart he went to a higher plane of existence and could go anywhere he wanted (sub-q-like in a way).

I am so happy that so many people are saying Garak. Of course, pretty much the entire cast of DS9, main and supporting, is awesome. I think focusing on the space station and the cultural/political conflicts allowed a lot of secondary characters to grow more than they would in other series.

His augmentations were mainly hand-eye coordination, intelligence, stuff along those lines. Ne never mentioned, or implied, that he was physically altered for strength.
