Feb 06 Game Informer scores

I think GI's review system has been pointed out to be flawed before with the Paper Mario 2 fiasco. What burns me is the review that they gave Monster Hunter (a freakin' 4), which is totally uncalled for. When you realize in the game that there is a 'GMR Sword' unlockable in a cross promotion with GMR, it makes the score just a little bit more odd...

Was GI the magazine that Shoe was referring to in his editorial? I wouldn't doubt it in the slightest.....

Actually, in the shitstorm that followed that <adjective> editorial, Shoe specifically said that it was neither GI or IGN.

Paper Mario, EVERY Mario Party, others. They do suck horribly.

But at least they didn't unfairly give Ape Escape 3 a 5.0 for not changing too much.

Let's just say it's the superior choice for golf game available on any console, ever made.

Let's just say I'm of a different opinion then. ;)
I mean, Touch Golf is a nice game, but best golf game ever?!
The putting is too boring as they often give you guide-lines so you don't even have to aim at all. Don't know if that ever changes, but I did play the game for a number of hours. And the worst thing is, without the guide-lines it would probably be too hard to judge anyway.

Also, hitting the ball on the touch screen is a neat feature (and certainly works better than in Tiger Woods, for example), but I felt it was too imprecise and the game compensated a lot for the errors I made (ie even if I hit the ball really crappy, it would still go fairly straight moreso than usual compared to other golf games).
And there's not much in terms of unlockables and extras. Too bad it wasn't online, would've been nice. I liked the pictochat support though.
All in all, I can go as far as saying it's the best golf game for DS ever made. :P

Basically, yeah. This is why you can't trust EGM to review these kind of games anymore. It has to be some huge change to the series to be good, and following the same formual that works perfectly is bad. Espcially in the second sequel ever. They stink.

What were the EGM scores for Soul Calibur 3 again?
Not only does EGM stink they are also inconsistent.

I only read GI for it's previews, for some reason they have the best exclusives and previews.
