Oooh. that corner carry ending with the D. I'll have to do that for A2A fights. Should be simple tho.
Oh, I just realized...
Hopefully SKill wasn't affected by today's happenings.

GAF will Kickstart a fighting game.
S. Kill and Dahbomb as the directors of the combat.
I think the problem a lot of people have is they see high level and want to play like that right off the back, or just straight up don't know the steps to learn the games in.
The games are fairly easy to pick up if you learn things one step at a time.
Yeah the only hard thing he does really are those dash up 360's which are godlike
lol
When can you go for beginner Xrd info? I watched the GG beginner vid everyone was posting the other day and I read all the Xrd info on the dustloop wiki that exists so far, but I'm kind of at a loss for where to go next. Just best to watch match footage, I guess?
I was giving Xrd a try, but it's tough to learn against someone decent- a Sol player was
already going like 60% damage combos on me, so didn't get much of chance to learn a whole lot X_X
You know, I think BlazBlue Chrono Phatasma being released this late may have a positive affect for the competitive scene.
With the launch now, it'll bring in more casual players that would've likely dropped it by now (as seen with Persona 4 Arena), in addition to the casual/hardcore from the Japanese launch.
And then the patch will also keep people from quitting/bring people back, so essentially it gets 3 launches leading up to Evo.

Honestly I think the American release got delayed this late because of the patch.
Dash up 720 isn't that hard to do (on a pad anyway), it's the nerves to do it, lol.
some people in another thread said he was in some other department that wasn't affected which i hope is true.Oh, I just realized...

Yeah, it's a positive side effect of it.I'm not saying that it was released this late due to any thoughts of Aksys keeping the competitive scene vibrant, just that this could be a consequence of it.
Guilty Gear and BB are one of those games *like marvel* where dicking around in training mode is a really good idea.
Honestly if you got a grip on what system tools are avalible to you next step is to watch vids and just get some gameplay under your belt.
Training mode expensive in the arcade- 100 yen/7 minutes! I plan on going regularly with like 10 bucks an evening for like a month to see if I can get anywhere.
Who are you using?
Starring Smedwicks as the shoto character everyone loves to hate. Kappa
I'd be the Dan.
Faust!
Do you know how to Fauntless Defense cancel down K (His downwards spinny move in the air) yet?
Faust!
How do you even do this?
How do you even do this?

It's more of a plink of K~S or K~P while holding down-back in the air and not letting go of the K.
theres 5-6 asus monitors + 1 benq at next level so im not sure what youre talking about
I'm curious, what did Chipp players cancel? I think I still see them stopping in mid-air, but I never knew which move started it. Is it the shuriken?Yeah, it's weird at first but once you get the hang of it it's pretty simple and comes natrually. I'm not sure about in Xrd yet but I know Chipp players had to learn how to do it in all other versions as well to be any good.
Smug bringing the classy combos
Edit: Mike G with the scumbag moves lmao
Wow, Scumbag Mike G :lol

If not that's your number one thing to practice right now.
Work on using bomb bags, the full screen scappel stab, 2S, and 6A
As well as learning when it's a good time to use an item toss
Yeah, I see that there's not much info yet on Faust in the wiki or his subforums. Your best bet is probably to watch videos, and just read up on Faust strategy from older games. (Did you see his Guilty Bits video? Even if some of his moves changed, he's still got the same fundamentals, including the faultless drill cancel Q just mentioned, which gives him another overhead/throw-bait option and more unpredictable air movement.)
j.1K, hold the input, press another button like plinking in SF4 or Marvel (on pad punch is the easiest to press with it stick Slash is a bit easier)
Does anyone going to SCR know when the doors open/what the time schedules are for pools? I can't seem to find much.
Here's the schedule from their site http://www.socalregionals.com/schedule/
Were these recently added?
Because people use to complain about the setups at NextLevel on Bum's stream.
You can even check previous streams for people here talking about it too when players would complain.
Fuck it put up Ex2+ on stream anyway.
RIP in Peace Smedwicks
Schedule
Friday
Players are expected to show up on time to play their matches.
Saturday
Players are expected to show up on time to play their matches.
Welp
wat?
I mostly just need to know because I need to know when to get there, considering I have a 30-45 minute drive to get to UCI both Friday and Saturday.
How are your pools looking? You're in the shark pit for SFIV right?
Did you click the days? lol
It's been there for almost a year now, people just like to make stuff up. Noone plays marvel on the big tv's everyone plays on the ASUS monitors which you cant see on camera.
are any of the east coast/norcal marvel players showing up to the runback?
