I need details for the SBO and it's stream. Links, anything.

Also, is the Kumate a regular thing now? What about Finger Cramp's new tournament?

Kumate is mostly a monthly thing. I believe on the Fingercramp site they said it's bi-monthly.

Next Skillionaire is August 10.
The next Stickbug thing isn't set, but they're monthly, and the last was on July 21, so probably 3rd week of August.

I'll be at TOUGEKI next weekend. Leaving for Japan tomorrow. I hope to have a bunch of pics to share at the very least, stay tuned to my twitter/MCZ twitter!

Isn't it possible to have one streamer collect money from people who want to watch SBO and then that person re-stream it? (If any of this is allowed anyway)

Here for Kadey's pantsus.

Also, I like the SBO schedule. All the shitty games are on Day 1 so we can all tune in to Day 2 for the real games.

How much is the PPV? I haven't used NicoNico in a long while, but I'm gonna take a guess that it still sucks... a rogue american re-stream with "commentators" that are fluent in Japanese would be godlike. I'd hate to pay and be in the dark about any announcements/changes in schedule/etc.

Well there was a qualifier in Singapore for the SF 25th Anniversary Global Tournament Series. Matches and winners are below

SSF4: AE 2012
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J1gnTYMb9k4&feature=g-subs-u

SFxT
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OyLTZnsodW0&feature=g-subs-u

SF3: 3rd Strike
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sGGDBoVi2sk&feature=g-subs-u

No mention of HDR though.
Tokido
was also there and I guess the Singaporeans were able to prevent him from winning this qualifier and going to Taiwan for the Asian Grand Finals. Western Heretic pointed this out earlier, but I guess only the qualifier in Taiwan will actually send two winners in SFxT, SF4, and one winner each in HDR/3SO to San Francisco for the true Grand Finals. So the GF match we saw in Korea with Poongko and Infiltration didn't guarantee them a spot in San Francisco just yet like it did for the guys in Austin. They'll probably be in Taiwan to try and win the Asia qualifier. But for the ones who don't win, there will be 4 qualifiers left(Paris, London, LA, Brazil) so they can still try to qualify from one of those 4 if they fail to do so in Taiwan. And only 2 spots for all those Asian killers is clearly not enough but that's what they'll have to deal with.

Sucks about SBO. The year we might finally have americans past the first round and its still a pain in the ass to watch. Twitch missed a big opportunity there imo.

You're right, I just realized our team is two top 8's from this year and 2nd place from last year's EVO. America's stacked.

And all characters that Japan seems to have trouble with imo. Also Viper/Guile/Balrog are american characters.

Also theres UMVC.

I doubt SBO would move away from Nico Nico anytime soon, and I'm not sure if it'd really be that worth it for Twitch to aggressively try and acquire the stream for.

Also, in an article I posted in these threads a while back mentioned how the reason why the Japanese prefer Nico Nico over Twitch is that they archive the stream chat which Twitch doesn't.

Would be nice if they could work out a deal where it's streamed on both nico nico and twitch with different commentary for each. It'd help bring in viewers who require English commentary to know what's going on.

^yes

Latif won't do much, maybe land some random ex seismo>ultra in one round but thats about it. His match against Daigo looked free, and the one against Kazunoko wasn't any better from what I've heard.

The days where Viper could abuse that shit and get easy wins/placing are over, against good players at least.

Why isn't Japan included in these string of tournaments? Arguably the highest level of competition come from there.

\
Oh ok...this is confusing.

So they had a qualifier for another qualifier?

That's what it sounds like, and from the CC videos, it was sponsored by Sony/Capcom so it was definitely official.

I still think this is retarded Japan isn't included in this.
