Slide is strong. Her overheads are long and fast. Her jump is slow-moving. If you hit the EX DP, you knock them all the way to the top. Her EX overhead is ridiculously fast. Her FA is floating. She feels kind of like Sakura. Feels like a character strong at controlling the match. With a bit of research time, she could be really strong.

Reason I'm translating Uryo's is the only one I follow on Twitter that has posted any impressions of the game yet. Fuudo hasn't typed anything up, lol.

Ugh, the lack of FADCable SRK was the most interesting thing about Oni. He was a Shoto character that had to play defense because he doesn't benefit from the braindead OS and was rewarded with sick meter relevant damage when he landed a hit.


Viper FADC +4 on block???? My meterless Focus Attack training will finally be rewarded!

Might finally pick up Ibuki now that she can meterless, too.

Yeah. I'm not surprised either. He sucks in SFxT other than if you're into straight up guessing with stuff. Itazan saw Uryo's tweet and was like "He's too big, it's impossible!? That gets my heart going!" Damn him and his Grappler love, lol.

If they retain EX-Bacbbreaker properties, it will be interesting

Is that a 2012 change? Thought it was 7 frames.

Nah, it's always been 5 frames as long as I've been playing. Gouken's is 6 too, I think. The difference is that Ryu's sweep is like -18 while Gouken's is -4 or something. :p
 
So all the Deejay nerfs were just translation errors?

Nerfing EX Headbutt sounds... stupid.

It's like his only thing. I guess Ocho has purpose again and his crossup is better... but still.

Honda wasn't bad before, and with the nerfs most of the vortexers are getting, I can see why they did it.
I think he'll probably keep his tier placement, but have fewer bad matchups.

It took Capcom 10 games to realize the old bag should be able to combo off cr.MP....

I took a closer look at the frame data and Gouken will most likely be only able to combo it point blank. There might be some range but it definitely won't be anything like Ryu's cr.mk into fireball. The ability to combo is also assuming the additional frame advantage comes from increased hit stun rather than decreased recovery.

when you're right in the other guy's grill maybe. Goukens corner combos would probably be stupid good otherwise. The character is pretty poorly designed it seems, balancing him seems to be difficult without overpowering him I guess.
