WTF

SOURCE PLS?
Famitsu said one of the entries in this week's Rookie most wanted chart is rumoured to have been moved from its current platform to a different one. Thing is, most of the other titles in the list have recently been reconfirmed for the platform they are due on, so it's either Godfather, Muragiri or ASH.

The guy has mentioned that he'll probably update with a bit more info later (in the day? in the week? who knows!) so there'll be more info "soon." :P

I still think it's so absurd that the plan for ASH on DS was, like, battles comprised of CG video :lol

I gotta agree with this. The idea could work but there must be limitations considering the amount of storage space on the DS game cards. It would also look pretty inconsistent to have CG quality battles mashed in with a game world that might look something like FF3 DS.

I'm still curious though. It could be a real system seller if they pull it off. (not that the DS is in dire need of a system seller)

Why do people believe it'll be a FF13 title rather than a FF12 title? The project could've been underway for a while now, and if FF12 is anything to go by, we will probably see FF13 in three or four more years, whereas I'd imagine this DS title would be released late next year in Japan.

Wow...all famitsu rumours turn out to be true! :lol

The Sega game is Seaman 2:

4 days until presentation...

Capcom to colaborate with Dwango for online games. Dwango is the developer of Tales of Eternia Online for example.

I don't think yoot saitoh was ever a part of sega.

Gamefront doesn't know jack shit. :P

As FF XII is a PS2 game their "FF XII side story" news appears in the ps2 section. But they say they don't know what kind of game this is. So it still could be a NDS game or whatever.

BTW, the original source edited the news and the NDS is gone.

FF12のもう一つの物語も出るのだとか!

So it wouldn't make sense to announce a game for a system the linked source didn't mention anymore :)

...2005?

Does it count as an announcement of a new game if it was previously announced in 2005? Sega confuses me so.

Seaman 2 was announced in September 2005, so it's old news. But we don't know anything about the game.

Vivarium confirmed that the microphone-enabled USB joypad that came bundled in the PlayStation 2's Seaman will be reusable in Seaman 2.

As an incentive for gamers to dig out their old PS2 Seaman controllers before the game's release, Vivarium has released a Windows program that allows the controller to be used with PCs.

By downloading the free utility software available starting today on Vivarium's official site, gamers can use the Seaman controller as a microphone for IP chatting in applications such as MSN Messenger. In addition, the D pad and buttons can be used for controlling other programs, including Internet Exporer, iTunes, Windows Media Player, Powerpoint, and Outlook.

I think what he's trying to say is... that this would be the first game based on one of the main FF games (VII-XIII) on a Nintendo system since FFVI, which was the last main FF game on a Nintendo system.
FFTA was based off FFXII already.

Yes please, another Tactics style spin-off in the world of Ivalice. Please don't base it on Kitase/Nomura's FFVIIAC: The Game.

Wait, is that the Dreamcast 2 controller? I KNEW IT!

That's a PS2 controller packed-in with Seaman 1 for PS2. The bundle sold about 420k copies. So the text on that picture says "420k owners (of the controller)."

FF12 is not anything to go by. :-P

If this rumor is accurate and it's an FF XII spinoff on DS, I don't think that invalidates anything about an FF XIII spinoff also appearing on DS -- the FF XIII project is clearly set up to spread around the love so that every concievable platform gets a piece.

I think more likely than an FF III engine game using the FF XII combat system, though, is an FF III engine game using ATB but set in the FF XII world.

Read the comments for that blog entry. It's a DS game.

ASH had better still be on DS. If for no other reason so that I can laugh and laugh hard when numerous misinformed people cite the battles as proof that the DS has amazing graphical capabilities, just as people back in the day cited FFVII's CG sequences and ignored the map models.
