Final Fantasy 12 side story for DS?

off topic but....

- Next week there will be announcements of new Sega game(s), a new Kojima title and the Wii Gundam game.
these are not From the rumour section
and these should be
- Seaman 2
- new info about Kojima games (should be MGS4 and MGS: OP)
- SD gundam G breaker

and the rumor column this week
- Virtual Console games are supposedly increasing in number and Yuji Naka's new game is on the way too.
original article is
" although that hot (hot discussion) console's games download service has been annonced
more lineups will be available in the future. For instance, that "blue thing"'s producer is developing a new game "

Yuji Naka is developing a new game for VC?

- A game that's been a massive hit on consoles and handhelds is getting an original entry on the PC, and being made by a Western dev.
original article is
" that game that's been a massive hit on console and handheld will release it original PC version
that game's company is from the west side (in Japan)"

capcom and Monster Hunter ?

- A racing game being released at the start of 2007 will have a sequel announced at a game show at the end of this month in Europe
I think it should be PGR4

Parappa the Rapper is coming out for PSP
original article is
" that famous rhythm game will port to PSP"

no doubt this is Parappa the Rapper

one of the entries in this week's Rookie most wanted chart is rumoured to have been moved from its current platform to a different one. Thing is, most of the other titles in the list have recently been reconfirmed for the platform they are due on, so it's either Godfather, Muragiri or ASH.
exactly what Jonny says

and titles that always rank in the Rookie most wanted chart
- blue dragon [not likely]
- lost odyssey [not likely]
- god father [multi-platform, not likely]
- godhand [released]
- ASH
- wishroom /Hotel Dusk: Room 215
- Jeanne D'Arc [not likely]
- Ni-Oh [Koei list this for PS3 in its TGS 2006 linieup list, not likely]
- Muragiri [not likely]
- Sekaiju no Meikyuu / Etrian Odyssey [1st time new entry, not likely]

so ASH and Hotel Dusk are the most possible

scans here if someone wants the proof

Seriously, I don't understand why do want SEGA to fcuk up another classic series??

Nights 2 is going to be...like a first person dancing game based on what they did to Shining Force.

Read the comments for that blog entry. It's a DS game.

I believe the person who commented was just saying that he said DS before he edited it, rather confirming that it's for the DS. So we're still in the dark as to whether this is a DS game or not.

Also, I'm still pissed about ASH if it's true. :( And Hotel Dusk might change systems too? That just sucks. :(

Also, sorry for the bump. :(

Hotel Dusk changing platforms? That's just ... odd. What other system could it possibly be on instead?

If SE brings the Waggle portaton of FF12 to Wii, I may have to become a full-fledged fanboy again like the SNES days.

If FFXII were to come out for the Wii in any form even remotely similar (FFXII-2, for example) for the Wii, I'd have 600 reasons to avoid the PS3. Make it so!

No, we're not.

What platform is the side story for FF12? PS2?

It's for DS. I'll fix the entry later.

Only one of them is moving, not both :) I doubt it would be Hotel Dusk moving, though - that's been coded pretty much for DS. ASH is the one we knew very little about. It's likely that the DS just couldn't handle what Sakaguchi was trying to do.
Maybe PSP now?

I think it's either JDA -> PS2 or ASH (which Nintendo is publishing I believe) -> Wii. I hope it's JDA moving though, I want more SRPGs for the DS. :(

Considering the release date for Jeanne d'Arc is something like November, I doubt it's being moved to the PS2. They've have to redo everything for the screen ratio difference. Eventually, maybe.

Yuji Naka is developing a new game for VC?

You get it wrong.

"For instance, an another game that was developed by that blue thing's producer"

It only suggests that a certain game made by Naka beside Sonic is headed for VC, and that's
not a new one.

I see, thanks :)
but wait, what game(s) besides Sonic that Naka has produced during MD/Genesis era?

I only imagine that "more lineups will be available in the future" means more platform(s) compatible
more platforms -> Saturn?
game(s) besides Sonic -> Nights & Burning Ranger? :D
do I think too much? :p

I would get on my knees and fellate Mr.Naka myself if Saturn were added to the Virtual Console roster. Even better if we can actually use our own Saturn discs! Dreamcast would be nice too.

Saving this quote.

I, uh, probably wouldn't go that far, but I'd at least cheer you on supportively.

Also, let me just restate how awesome the idea of FFXII DS is and how much I really can't wait for scans and more info.

No PS2 / PSP connectivity for FF12 then, eh?

Is there any PS2/PSP connectivity?

Maybe there'll be PS2/DS connectivity, just for FFXII.

That's one for the books.

Didn't some company try to do connectivity with the GBA for their PS2 or DC game? Can't remember who...

-Girl's Garden (SG-1000)
-Great Baseball (Mark III)
-Phantasy Star (Mark III)
-Ristar (MegaDrive)

Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix

- A blue eyed kid standing in a desert with broken armor
- Some sort of card battle being added?
- PS2

FF12 Revenant Wing

- Takes place after FFXII
-
About Vaan and Penelo's adventures
- Character designer doesn't look like Yoshida (uh oh)
- NDS

Edit: Uh oh, the character designer might be Nomura.... ^^;;;;;;

Don't really get why they didnt put it on PSP for several reasons

1 - Connectivity features
2 - Graphical Prowess, the DS game will be outdated when its first released.
3 - Garuanteed Bigger Sales (Playstation fanbase would eat up FFXII side story)

Stupid decisions made by square-enix as of late.

Im still getting this tho.

My mistake, I'm misreading another piece of news into this. Here's what it really says:

Besides FF12 DS there's another DS RPG by S-E with Nomura designs. It's a RPG set in a modern day scenario. So there you have it. TWO new S-E RPGs on the DS. :D

Edit: But FF12 DS is still not Yoshida. :P

I think Square-Enix likes money, that's why it's on DS.

Like there's a big difference between the designs in FFXII and the ones Nomura typically does.

But there is. :P

Modern Day Scenario. Well fancy that, call me intrigued!

Edit: That news should find its way into a newer thread.

A Final Fantasy XII sequal is on the DS?

That is interesting.

Square is really practicing that convergence motto, aint that.
Cool, I guess. Now I can play both.

this was a joke post, right?

becase no one could seriously say "why not put on PSP becase of connectivity features!" and actually think it would sell better on PSP because of the "playstation fanbase"

oh, and Nomura designs (usually) rock. they're memorable. screw the haters.

Square-Enix...other RPG...rather than saying Other DQ, FF or KH...uhhh, lets wait for scans.

FFXII-2 ... I ... I want to play the first one please, hurry ... :/
