Final Fantasy versus XIII Trailer

It made me want to LOL. XD

I kept thinking "Squall + Squall + Sora = this guy" and "I'm a depressed Prince sitting on my throne.."

And then "The world has turned against me..."

Of course, a few EMO jokes were made, and all that was missing was the cutting.. but then...

"ELEVEN SWORDSS!!!*"

*(I did not actually count how many swords there were, but eleven seems like the number they were going for..unless it's 13, an equally "badass" number)

I don't know.. That trailer made me feel like it was trying too hard to be cool. Glowy red eyes and all. I haven't been very enthused by the FF series ever since it went more realistic like this. But I guess it doesn't matter, since this is going to be on the PS3 anyway, which I am not affording..

- Prax, omg.. it was eleven..

It's not that it isn't happy. It's that there's no genuine emotion at all, as far as I can tell.
Ok, what I gathered was...
A very powerful guy (previous poster said he's protecting the crystal) that is very tired of having this task to deal with. As if it was 'just another day' type of thing. He gets up and goes out and does what he's always known to do, and that's protect the crystal.

What's with the army and all the dead people outside. If he's so powerful, then why are there people outside that are dead...people that seemingly were trying to protect the crystal also.

that's it for now

Pfft, did you not feel any emotion when Sora met up with Riku?

Yaoi moment, FTW...
I tried to play KH, and was unable to get past the devastating combination of bland gameplay, slow story, and insane clown shoes.

I know some girls who love the gayness in the series though :D

I like how everything is labeled as ROFL EMO now when it expresses ANY sort of non-happy emotion.

WTF do you people want?

A character who isn't brooding, constantly torn, on the edge, dark, and full of inner strugle.

Basicaly, I read Wuthering Heights, and I'm sick of seeing Heathcliff over, and over, and over, and over, and over again.

So what's up with FFXIII games and having tons of enemies against one person.

The amnesia caused by their summon monsters made them forget to come to battle :(

who invited all the ****ing Zelda pissants into this thread?

We get it. There's no Link or fairies or teleporting whistles. I thought we got through all of this in 1997 with the damn OoT vs. FFVII arguments?

Back on topic:

Maybe this hasn't been made clear to a lot of you, but THIS ISN'T A SPIN OFF. It's a completely seperate entity. It shares similar themes/mythos of FFXIII, but it is completely different. Spin-offs, gaidens, etc. tend to share the same time/space as whatever game they are pulling from. According to Nomura, this isn't.

Another PS3 thread, another bucket of haterade.

Anyway... *downloads*

...are you serious?

No one is hating on the game. People (like me) just don't share the same enthusiastic opinion about it.

Like someone said, there's a reason why there's 110 posts so quickly.

What the hell are you talking about?

It shows something when you have to defend PS3 in a thread where there wasn't an inch of anti-PS3.

I did get the tired thing certainly. I was just thinking that's probably about how emotional I look when I'm sitting around at the office reading GAF (excluding the :lols of course).

Is that emotionally compelling? I dunno. But it's kind of difficult for me to get excited for a character that doesn't get excited.

You know, I couldn't quite put into words what this trailer lacked, but you may have just found it.

I guess it was just the music/angles/and the whole quietness of it all. Emotion doesnt have to be shown by the character to be evident....
There's also the subtitles

Also,
I got that maybe he was trying to kill himself...you know like the whole suicide thing in metal gear solid 2. Miss suicide lady that WANTS to die.

Do you have anything better to do these days than troll FF threads?

Is the Zelda attach rate going to stay ANYWHERE NEAR 87%?

NO

It is the only reason to buy a Wii, at least if you've deluded yourself into believing waggle is acceptable... period, but especially in ****ing Zelda
:rollseyes

:rollseyes

Your awareness of context is sorely lacking... though I DO suppose nothing good ever comes from responding to Gahiggidy.

And these are the same posters who jizzed all over the Halo 3 crap on Monday night?
The hypocricy is strong here.

Who's the hypocrite?

In the Halo 3 commercial thread:

After the hype I am honestly dissapointed.
The Gears of War "mad world" commercial I think was far better done.
The part with the kids in the beggining was a great set up, but then it went down.
May have hit me better if it wasn't so hyped up all over the net.
Still very early though.

Exactly what "went down" in the Halo 3 commercial? It was all action after the kids part.

Here, you have one ambigious character sitting on a throne for half the trailer, then proceeds to walk down the steps emotionlessly while shots are being fired at him.

I must've watched a different trailer, because that was pretty shitty.

I'm not trying to troll or anything, just my honest opinion.
Yeah,that made sense. :rolls:

Why all the hate,seriously.
