A demo? CE NA announcement? Don't think it could be a new trailer, I think the international one was it.

Sascha23 said:Dude, I'm all about the DTS and 1080p and it's going to be evident when it comes to the overall experience. Not to mention my 360 is one bloody loud beast, so I avoid using it unless I have a superior multiplatform issue (Bayonetta, Orange Box). If I could play my Mass Effect 2 on something far quieter, along with uncompressed audio and no additional discs to swap, you bet I would. But, I can't--so I partake of the magical ME2 on my 360.
Stop exaggerating. FFXIII 360 is nowhere near as bad as those two ports were.Sascha23 said:Why would any sane PS360 owner purchase FFXIII on the 360? There are no advantages there. Compressed video, sound, and split into three discs? Nonsense people.
It's like buying Orange Box or Bayonetta on PS3 when you have a 360 sitting there as well.
Let's discuss something else--like how effing close we are to actually playing this game. Felt like it would never happen.
Jtyettis said:One of my OXM's from last year stated there would be a Demo hitting live. It was in the rumor section, but they didn't make it sound like it was iffy more like near 100% happening.

A playable demo of Final Fantasy XIII on Xbox Live Marketpalce? This year? The Ball is a bit hazy on the "when",' but not the "if"....
Pro tip : HDD install.Sascha23 said:Dude, I'm all about the DTS and 1080p and it's going to be evident when it comes to the overall experience. The loadtimes are already nonexistent on the PS3 version.Dra-Q said:U mad?
1. Gaming press says both versions look the same 2. I can install the game on the HDD and play it without loading times 3. The final 360 version isn't even out yet.
I missed you. :3TheChillyAcademic said:Been a long time since I've been in this thread :lol
And look, people still arguing about the port Don't forget the rules in the OP folks lol
That being said, we're almost there, about a month or so to go!!

Well, those compromises don't really matter to someone who doesn't have a badass home theatre system to enjoy 1080p FMV and lossless audio. I get what you mean though, but the differences are very, very small and no one will notice unless you view them side-by-side.Sascha23 said:I'm making a point that there is no beneficial reason to purchase on a 360 if you own both machines. My example was to emphasize that when you have obvious benefits to a title, you buy it for the system it's best for (assuming you own it).
Now, I'm just going to put it out there and say that anyone who purchases FFXIII on a 360, when they have a PS3 just plain wants to hold a 360 controller in their hand--which is a fine reason. But, to me, I'm going to look at the uncompressed audio, HD video, and single-disc solution.
I love my 360 and feel it's essential to my gaming, but I just don't see why everyone keeps providing a rebuttal rather than saying "Yeah, I own both, but I just prefer playing on a 360 and am willing to compromise a little for it in order to play FFXIII on my system of choice."
For me, not having to change discs alone is enough for me to choose the PS3 version. I'm certainly aware that might not be the case for everyone.Sascha23 said:I'm making a point that there is no beneficial reason to purchase on a 360 if you own both machines. Kagari said:Yep. Next to zero loading times, no HDD install. The optimization is very nice. Toriyama said it was one of the first issues they worked on.
Khrno said:I can abide by this for the PAL version. The only loading times are when the game is loading up the save file when you choose Continue in the main menu. Loading FMV cutscenes don't even take a second.
I was really surprised to see how well runs this game compared to many other PS3 games that are so slow, I really hate ports, that's why I always try to get the games on the platform they were based of and not the one they are ported to.

DeadGzuz said:You are trying to hard. No PS360 owner should buy the 360 version. One disc, better audio and FMV. Why risk three disc which can be scratched and lost, why install three disc when you can play off one with no noise and fast loading? It is a no brainier, look at their relative position on the amazon.com sales chart.
