I actually think it is a possibility. Is it wrong to believe?Kagari said:Versus XIII world wide simultaneous release, believe!

Fang's spear is three sectioned.
Sazh's pistols can combine into a rifle.

Hope is ????.

Diablos said:Let's not get ahead of ourselves, XIII won't even be out everywhere until Q2 next year :lol
On to the next one!Kagari said:Yeah but new information will likely come in January after XIII is out in Japan.
I've been praying for this to happen. I hope it will be a trend after the fact if it does happen. Getting into the game and not knowing a single thing about it because it wasn't released in Japan months earlier would be the greatest thing ever.Kagari said:Versus XIII world wide simultaneous release, believe!

I don't think Versus will get a WW release. Did any of the FF titles get a WW release?hateradio said:I'm glad they've decided on a release date, not too far now I suppose.
I too hope that versus gets WW release, that would be awesometastic.
lorddarkflare said:Nice to have dreams.
Dreams do come true. I'm able to wait for Final Fantasy XIII, but I don't know if I can wait for Final Fantasy Versus XIII without going crazy. I think once I get a taste of a next generation Final Fantasy, I'll just want more.lorddarkflare said:Nice to have dreams.
Diablos said:Wasn't FF13 originally going to be a ww release?
Oh must have been rumored or something. I swear I remember reading about it.Kagari said:Don't think they ever mentioned that.
toasty_T said:A question to anyone who has tried out the game; does the battle system involve a lot of inputs? With all the crazy stuff going on I'm thinking there is a bit of button mashing involved.
I remember you mentioning this a while ago unless I was drunk at the time.Kagari said:Don't think they ever mentioned that.
Certainly there's more input than XIIlorddarkflare said:Not really.
There have been complaints that more input would be nice.

How? I've seen the demo, it looks like you always have to be in control of someone whereas in FFXII you could turn on their gambit and put the controller down if you set everything up right.lorddarkflare said:Unpleasant flashback.
I wish. Believe it or not, in a weird way it seems like less. But then again, access to the guts was not given.

Kagari said:I think I said it could have been possible. Less than 3 months is fairly close though.
lorddarkflare said:Because you were personally responsible for every single action of your party. The 13 demo gave you control of one dude.
Not to mention that at any time you could either pause and change the AI or force them to perform a specific action, or even change their roles. Not to mention the ability to change party leader (as well as swap party members) on the fly.
Besides in XII you could setup status based AI. What this means is that you could cast different status effects that would have your party react differently in battle).
This revelation changed the game for me.
cosmicblizzard said:Yeah but the whole 3+ ATB per person thing here kind of makes up for the lack of full control in terms of input amount.
I'm impressed that they've done this, knowing that they are working on the PS3 and 360 version. I think the PS3 version is already done, and they are finishing the 360 version.Kagari said:I think I said it could have been possible. Less than 3 months is fairly close though.

Yeah, which means they only had to localize it. The 360 version, they pretty much have to do everything else including the voice acting and script.Kagari said:Japanese PS3 version has already gone gold.

Hopefully you won't because you'll suffer the TCA curse if you do.Kagari said:I won't spoil you. I'm excited... basically a month and 2 days left before I'll be playing it! It's been a long 3 year wait.

lorddarkflare said:Well i hope it is broken. I believe in spreading the wealth.
Fixed! FF XIII is exclusive in Japan, so if it were to sell horrible then I think they'd release it on the 360 in Japan. We all know FF XIII sales will be good in Japan. I think Versus exclusivity will be based on the PS3/360 sales in NA/EU.hateradio said:I'm hoping that they don't take XIII's sales in Japan (if they're bad for w/e reason) as a way to break the XIII exclusivity, and instead taking it as a reflection of failre upon themselves for the way they've handled the press (really lack of) these past few years. True, less gamers should be able to give Square Enix their money for a game they want to play.hateradio said:I'm hoping that they don't take XIII's sales in Japan (if they're bad for w/e reason) as a way to break the Versus exclusivity, and instead taking it as a reflection of failre upon themselves for the way they've handled the press (really lack of) these past few years.
