Final Fantasy XV Jump Festa 2015 Trailer

Sorry to bring this up again, but the Japanese trailer is missing a lot of sound effects. It's quite jarring.

Did you see those HD towns....omg its so pretty and the combat looks so good as well. This game looks better after every trailer. This really is the saviour of JRPG's.

More guest party members means there is a high chance it could be from one of them. Seems like they were key characters after all.

6 characters of the left side are all protagonist. (Cor, Regis + 4 Bros)

4 out of the 6 characters of the right side are all antagonist. (black haired lady/Stella unconfirmed )

I'm thinking the left 6 are the core characters on the protagonist side, and the right 6 are the core characters of the antagonist side. :/

Pretty good trailer. I loved that music shift for the combat and the daytime lighting is real easy on the eyes. But I still don't like any of the english voiceovers except prompto (sp?). The english voices almost all sound like fake voices or people doing impressions. It comes off cartoony in a bad anime dub way. None of them sound natural. I don't know whether I would be able to get used to them or just switch to the japanese ones. Noctis sounds nothing like I was expecting. Kind of generic gruff guy doesn't work for him, personally.

My Gawd,My Gawd, My Gawd, MYGAWD MYGAWD MYWGAWD.. it's SO Beautiful!

Decided to watch the trailer in japanese first, because it sucks in english of course, now watching for understanding tho.

For the love of Etro, release this game in japanese already..

I'm not going to say it.

I'm not going to say it..................

FFXV on PS4 vs XB1

XB1 Will look darker and the contrast of the colors will be really high. The game will look next gen amazing much like the PS4. The console's symmetrical designed controls with a Kingdom Hearts styled gameplay might not work too well (IMO) unless you switch to a character with a gun and activate first-person shooter mode.

PS4 Will have the highest fidelity, foliage, and detail. The contrast won't be high so you can see the different shades of color better then one thick color, giving the game a more natural look. But unlike the XB1 if you have a good TV you can simply put the contrast all the way up to get a similar but better look on the PS4. The controls will be symmetrical, and people who have already played Kingdom Hearts will already be accustomed to the controls, so opinions on how the game should play will be related to what people are most used too to begin with. :/ Which is bias, but most control scheme preferences are bias to begin with.

Expect frame rate drops in both games due to it being a huge game with a lot going on the screen, and whichever console the game was focused on developing and making for originally will be the better console version because it was started and made with that console first. (As references to Dmc Devil May Cry being built around Xbox 360 first then ported over to PS3, and the game was ultimately better on Xbox because of that reason.) So hint hint, PS4 gets the lead because it was meant to PS3, moved to PS4, and then planned to be ported over to XB1 as well.

So ultimately PS4 will be better no matter what, most Xbox gamers don't play RPG's compared to the PS4 because Xbox doesn't have a ton of RPG games to begin with, and simply the majority of their crowd don't play those games. So in the end PS4 will have the better graphics/picture, the preferred controller by most, the least amount of bugs (depending on how well the teams who will work on patches do their job as well.) And PS4 already had the lead because the game was always planned for it's platform since the beginning 8 years ago, so even if XB1 was the better system in every single way, the game would had still been better on PS4 simply because the game was originally built around the system.

But that's my opinion, we won't know until the game comes out. I just hope the game isn't held back in anyway like 13 was when Square Enix decided to port it over to Xbox 360. :/

Hahaha, I love how we are back to dramatic trailers once more!

No more fishing, running around in forrests... THIS GAME IS SERIOUS BUSINESS, Y'ALL!

Cidney, Sydney, cid. ... any of these over Cindy please square, as otherwise you may aswell change Luna to Lauren, Noctis to Nigel, and moogle to moogie. Hell they will probably change cloud strife to steamy trouble for the new psn release going by the great localisation they got going on woth the name Cindy!

Other than that it looks awesome and day one for me!

Square Enix prepared all kinds of scenes for the latest trailer, but since they didn’t use them all, map director Yasuyuki Matsunami got pretty upset. Tabata justified his reason by saying that trailers can be made in two ways: to advertise or show the state of development. They showed Behemoth and weathers in the previous trailers, and Tabata says this was put together in a rush. As for Jump Festa 2015, the focus was advertising, which was done by the editing studio, and not in cooperation with the development staff. For this reason, they weren’t able to include all the scenes that were requested by staff.

This is the reason.

Just watched it again, and I will admit it wasn't half bad this time, but japanese is the goat, still!

OMG THE HYPE.. THIS FEELS LIKE 2006 ... JUST 8 YEARS LATER. AHAHAHA

Objectively speaking, the Japanese trailer has a near-perfect trailer-esque mix overall. voices cut through, everything that absolutely needs to grab attention with sound effects do, etc. The only bit that stuck out to me was Cor mouthing something with no actual dialogue (spoilers? or only time for half a sentence on the footage, I guess they wanted to show that Cor is indeed still around)

What I hypothesize happened is the two versions were done by different dub stages that were basically handed the music, footage with SFX, and VA and told "make something out of it". Stuff that's 'missing' from the JP version, to my ears, sounds intentional as far as a trailer mix goes.

Tabata did go on record on the ATReport saying that it was done in a hurry.

That's what I thought but damn footsteps are missing on the Japanese version when there clearly should be. Especially when Niflheim soldiers barge in.

Mixed bag.

The entire SFX track is attenuated during that section right after the door crash. Probably to highlight the narration and music. Like I said, it sounds very intentional.

Yes it does, but I think it's to a fault this time. The narration is attenuated as well.

That's why it's so odd. There's a huge volume jump shortly after.

In the scene, a lot happens very suddenly. The English trailer did a a great job of having appropriate sounds to reflect that.

It's really coming, isn't it? Jesus that looked stunning, though definitely going Japanese voices as those English ones are way too cringeworthy. Also have we had confirmation yet on a PC release?

I haven't been the biggest fan of this game but I gotta admit that with each new trailer it grows on me. Maybe by the time it comes out in 2023 I'll be really psyched for it.

Suit yourself ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Felt that the English version had SFX get in the way of dialogue (including the narration right at the start) a little too much.

So guest party system confirmed, it was one of the outcomes I predicted yesterday, this has the potential to be great.

To compensate the fact that a 4-member party may be too small, adding guest members during sections of the game (like Larsa or Vossler in XII) may bring some variety and may also allow females to join for a certain amount of time. They said the party is all-male but I highly doubt the guests will be as well.

By the way, here you have some extra gifs from Cidney Kotaku posted :)

There's dual audio in the demo already.
Thank god. I hope they keep that for the full game.
Ill even pay for the option. I already know I am going to hate Ignis as much as I hated Snow just on his english voice alone.
I didn't mind FFXIII's English VA but I feel like most dubs are terrible.

Even with anime, like people always go on about how the English FMA:Brotherhood dub is amazing but I cannot watch it like that, it sounds awful.

I felt that there was too much narration, and the everything else should have lowered dB.

Not perfect, but better than the Japanese version where everything's quiet. Regardless, it's not finalized or anything.

Wait, is Ignis the "Who can say? We mustn't rush to conclusions." guy? I thought that English actor was great. Maybe I'm the exception though. :P

Didnt like particularly the music, guess i'm the only one here...
Otherwise the game looks mighty interesting but definitely in dev.

Interestingly enough, here the SFX tracks plays through. You get your wish! Although for whatever inexplicable reason, left and right are flipped.

edit: Also beaten linking the SE upload apparently

I've been trying not to get excited about XV, but forget it. You only live once, so Imma be hyped about this.

Not only here, the only one in the whole universe lol but you are entitled to have your own opinion, hopefully Shimomura will make you change your mind with upcoming tracks :D

Yeah, this is great news. This will at least allow some special moves with guest party members I guess.

Amazing music, amazing world, amazing graphics, it's pretty much all awesome looking.

This is definitely the first trailer that convinced me SE has more than some slapped together tech demo in the back. Everything they showed previously seemed like it could just be some assets really quickly jumbled up at the last minute to resemble a real game, but this trailer could not be, I'm excited.

Still skeptical, SE has a lot to make up for.
