Thanks for the link. That looks fucking hot. Anyone know what's being said? Seems like there's some sort of double team factor going on in some of those battles. Maybe a new take on those support boosts?

Easily the best announcement at the show for me. Love FE, and a new adventure with Ike will bring a lot of the cool gameplay additions from Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn.

I'll be very mad if this doesn't get localized. It's pathetic that there's even a chance of that.

Super large maps aren't new to Fire Emblem. Genealogy of Holy War had maps so huge it has 10 chapters and is still as long as the other games in the series.

There's no way Mystery of the Emblem DS is coming to NA. I dunno about this new one but it's possible as long as they don't give up on the 3DS entirely in the near future.

I don't mind importing a 3DS to play this and SD Gundam G Generation, though.

Looks great! I'm very happy to see the awful graphics of the DS games gone, those just looked terrible. Hopefully the gameplay's better than the DS one released here too, it was disappointing compared to the GBA ones, or the GC/Wii duology. It is too bad that we never got the second DS game, but on the other hand the first DS one is my least favorite of all the US FE games, and I don't know if the second DS one is much better...

But anyway, this one looks quite good, even if the GBA sprites do have the best art this looks good too. I just hope there's a US release...

You're good, just because they are making those games doesnt mean they were supposed to announce them at this conference. For all we know they could show up at TGS or next year.

It's odd because I think the casual mode would be perfect in getting new players into the series (especially those who do not like permadeath). If Nintendo markets it right, they could bring new players into the series with the difficulty modes + casual mode. They probably won't, though. I might as well get my own copy if/when it goes budget (or before that if it won't go budget).

This one is new (or looks to be new), so I hope they bring it over, even if I really miss the sprite art. I'd love a new FE story!

They need to bring over a version of Genealogy of War, though. That one is my favourite.

GBA I could understand, but the DS graphics were already fucking ugly. This 2D/3D mix is at least somewhat intriguing. I don't know if it makes sense if they don't add any new 3D gameplay mechanics during the combat, though.
Not sure if I want that, since I can't skip the combat animations then.
